- Hi guys it's our Second harvest and it's looking good .We have 2 more harvests before we pick it all. Along with the durian we are harvesting our mangosteen everyday . We have 60 mangosteen trees and we estimate about 6 Ton of fruit by the time we are done. mangosteen slowly comes ripe and takes about 8 weeks till it's done.During these 8 weeks we harvest about 50 to 70 kilos per day . Our durian makes us a lot of money and combined with mangosteen makes it possible for me and my wife to live in Thailand and not have to touch our investments .
once our other two farms start producing next year it's really going to start making a big difference .
If your looking to retire in Thailand and have a Thai wife you may want to consider a small farm . Empower your thai wife in farming

Hi, I am an Norwegian man stay full time in Thailand for 2 years now, and wee start our Durian farm this year. I have been a hobby farmer before and I love it. We have now planted about 120 Durian trees, and some mango, lemon and chili. I love to stay in the country side, quiet and no tourists. Durian trees are new to me and my wife, but we learn from you and locals. We try to do 70% organic, and I can see the trees looks very good. hope i can visit your farm some day.
That's awesome The countryside is very nice like you said no tourists just locals 👍 I love it also.
Where is your farm?
You are welcome to visit when you have the time👍

Another great video. Kudos to you for actually giving advice to future growers out there. So many channels just boast about how they are making money without sharing their knowledge. I may not be growing Durian, but your channel is what I need in way of inspiration. Kudos young man. 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋

@@TMDurianfarmer beats working for someone!!
@@TMDurianfarmer nothing is easy but if you found something you love! thats jackpot!

Absolutely love your videos and work and are slightly envious. Wish i had the guts to make the move. I live in the UK and cannot find a source of fresh Durian seeds I can germinate. I am trying to grow a durian bonsai. Would you be able to sell me any fresh seeds or point me in the right direction All the best, Ian
I will look for a seed dealer for you and send you the link .👍
You absolute star. Thank you so much. Really appreciate it. Thank you 😊😊@TMDurianfarmer
nice to see that.
quick question, do you put people to guard your farm at night during these harvest times?
@@kebundurianbintoroyes I pay a guy to sleep at the farm . With durian being so valuable ten fruit can pay for my guy to watch over the farm for a month
@@TMDurianfarmer only guard it for a month or more during harvest times?
@@kebundurianbintoro yes only during the harvest season 👍
@@TMDurianfarmer thanks for your answer
Love your channel !❤from Wang Nuea/Copenhagen 😎
👍👍 awesome thanks 🇩🇰
Terry I noticed that you are cutting fruit as opposed to allowing the fruit to ripen. Is there a difference between the 2 methods of harvesting. I know that in Thailand thiw is the protocol. In Malaysia they allow it to ripen on the tree.
We also allow it to ripen on the tree before harvesting. The cutters check the fruit for ripens before cutting . In Thailand many don't like it over ripe. When the durian falls off the tree it is over ripe and has a short shelf life .
I have 16 rai in Amnat Charon. Was thinking about dedicating 1 rai to durian. What kind of soil do they prefer?. I planted one about a month ago, so far so good. Its still with us
@@Nduk123 they do best in Sandy loam . You should space the trees 7m x 7m with this spacing you should be able to plant 32 per Rai
@@TMDurianfarmer Thanks for the reply
Maybe the durian can clean and fill the pool also? Joking.. nice you were able to retire from that, I can eat half a one a year and I'm good. I'm from the west and in the Philippines now, curious in USD what does a Thai durian cost at market? First time I seen your recommended video 🎉
Welcome to the channel . I need to clean the pool out ,my mango tree dumped a lot of leaves in it .
Durian here sells for about 6 usd per kilo .
Very happy for you both. Do you guys have GAP certification for both farms?
Not yet we have not applied
Hello sir, what happened to the ridges in between the trees? is it flattened?
.
You're thinking of my other farm
@@TMDurianfarmer i see 👍
You don’t wear helmets?
Have you been able to harvest your Musang king trees ?
Next year we will let our mk flower for the first time 😊 we have 100 trees 👍
@@TMDurianfarmerterry how much price per kg musang king now? Do u plant black torn type?
@@Fredfrodo I don't know . No black thorn
@@TMDurianfarmer do u try musang king in malaysia? Different taste between malaysia and thailand.
@@Fredfrodo yes it is different from my area . In south Thailand yes it tastes the same but in my area we have a long dry season and it makes the mk taste different
Hei which area in Thailand do you have a farm? My first time watching u channel.
Phong pha Phum District in kanchanaburi
HI, I recently went to a seminar and they claimed that there will be so many mong thong farms coming online that the price will crash. Is this something you've looked into? They were advocating growing musang king instead. Thanks
Well the last 2 years thousands of durian trees have died from the weather. Not easy to grow and limited areas where you can grow it . Depending on what country you live in depends on what species you should grow . For Thailand in Mon thong
@@TMDurianfarmer in the seminar they said there is a new durian farm in laos, 15,000ha. And lots of new farms in vietnam. They said vietnam will eventually become the biggest grower
@@ParkPedal they have been saying this for a long time . If you grow durian then you know how hard it is to grow. For every 10 farms I see planted half die . in reality few succeed in this .
@@ParkPedal one other thing I grow MK and I know other farmers that grow it . They are now taking it out due to no buyers Exporters and domestic market here in Thailand want monthong .it also taste different from the MK grown in Malay same goes with monthong grown in Vietnam .It's not as good
What kind of medicine you're using?
Do you mean fertilizer ?
@@TMDurianfarmer yes in what medicine used at durian kill the insectiside
How much production cost for a kilogram durian there?
Depending on your yield it can vary greatly .
in my country, Indonesia, Monthong sold to customer at average 4-5 USD per kg.
@@muhadi4696 here we sale it to the exporters for about 6 usd and to retail customer
