correct, the AI judge was not scoring officially, it was just for fun. and it showed how far off ai judging is. it was trash, giving out multiple 10-10 rounds.
Chael, your premise is wrong, which renders this largely a waste of time. They had 3 humans as official judges, and AI on the side unofficially just to have that opinion to share.
Chael, the AI judge was used in addition to the 3 official judges. Because of the 2 10-10 rounds scored by the AI, the AI judge scored the fight 118-112, whereas the 3 official human judges scored it 116-112.
Once again, Cheall making statements off false pretenses. The A.I. judge was the fourth alternative, not considered official. Please do not take anything he says eriously he's just talking for entertainment or is completely clueless, either way
Nobody besides the people with a vested interest in Fury, had him winning. People only argue about by how much Usyk won. The AI judge wasn't part of the official scoring, it was a test run (it was disclosed btw, Turki said it in the last press conference)
He makes shit up all the time to create narratives. He's been doing it since he started his channel as well as in the UFC. I'm pretty sure he's still role-playing. If not, I can't take him seriously for 80-90% of his takes.

This video is titled "Chael Sonnen Reacts to Fury vs Usyk 2". All he talked about was AI and a bit about the Conor Mayweather fight!! And Chael knows full well that there were 3 human judges and a 4th AI (non participatory) Judge. He's trolling to get a response. And it worked. As usual.
The AI judge was a 4th judge, with no impact on the fight. It was clearly stated at the beginning of the fight. But it was closer to the correct score than you are. The judges can also give 10/10 rounds. Rounds can be close with a winner per round. With one person winning more rounds, you can have a wide score card. Which is what happened. The rounds were close sure, but if youre being honest, Usyk out worked, out landed, and controlled the fight from round 2 on. With a round or 2 going to Fury. Usyk won 9 rounds if you score it correctly. 8 if you are being generous to Fury.
All three judges scored the fight 116-112 in favor of Usyk The judges were Gerardo Martinez, Pat Morley, and Ignacio Robles The AI judge, an unofficial judge which score did not count towards the decision of the fight gave the fight 118-112, this was a test and was disclosed beforehand
This video is golden chael. Hit us with the title that has nothing to do with AI in which is not the full story. People thinking this was a waist of time but it is actual brilliantly done. This guy can monologue his ass off
I like the idea of 10-10 rds. I hate that you to rule in favor of one. I also believe in 9-9 rds, rounds when neither of the fighters in giving activity.
It sounds as if the Ai was close to the judges score cards, whereby the two 10-10 rounds (as there were extremely close rounds) were given to Fury. Judges are highly discouraged from giving 10-10 rounds, so that’s why it seems very wide.
Oh dear..when someone this big didn't know there were 3 judges..two extras were flown in before the fight and both camps had to agree on who'd replace the guy that pulled out last minute...
EVEN THOUGH the AI judge wasn't ACTUALLY used to score the bout officially, it is something I wonder about. To give Chael a point here and make the hypothetical case, in tennis, the laser-tracking machine that determines whether a ball is in or out unequivocally revolutionized the game, and cut down on a lot of human error. It's why you don't have a modern equivalent of Jimmy Connors or John McEnroe yelling at the officials for bad calls. In the case of a sport like boxing, however, I'm not sure the same could be done. But given how many controversial decisions there have been over the years, one could see the potential advantage of a more objective arbiter. I just think boxing is deceptively complex (even though it seems simple on the surface) although the machine seems to have done a good job scoring in this particular instance.
That's my basic thinking towards the AI rankings as well 1. We humans will argue about anything and everything whether we care about the topic or not 2. If we humans are programming the computer then how exactly is that surpassing our own eyes and knowledge? (Not to mention our own bias)
@SpyroTek How do you imagine that to be ? Who programs the AI ? Humans And even besides that.. whether the judging is done by humans, AI, a grizzly bear or an alien... We as humans will always argue with it so it doesn't matter one bit who or what the judge is. Third, say you are right. Y'all realize how much conversation is automatically eliminated? How many rematches would no longer be required? It would not improve combat sports in terms of money because IF it worked as you think it would there would be no controversy which is what makes the $$$
Turki posted the news about the AI Judge on X before the fight took place. and for your question "Could it be rigged?" Yes technically it can.. can Judges be bought? yeah.. Fights can be rigged in other ways like fighters agreeing to not "go for a KO and just pretend to box"... ahem...
I hardly gave Fury a round-competitive rounds doesn't mean the fight will result in a close scorecard. But it was a clean sweep from Usyk. We need mandatory AI scoring! 118-112 was extremely precise. Usyk has a ridiculous high IQ. He's definitely an all Time Great-if not the greatest of all time. If he was British or American, they'd give him all the glory he deserves.
Chael get your facts right brotha .. it was the fourth judge and it wasn’t involved in the decision.. furthermore it calculates all the points scored so the points scored are accurate without biased … the AI scored the fight even further for usyk …
"of the 3 judges one of them was a computer" no it wasn't that was a 4th experimental judge and did not contribute to the actual scorecards, it would have been insane if it did without anyone being told before
here's what I know for sure: Usyk threw more punches and constantly responded to attack with attack, and Fury threw spinning punches, like in MMA, and constantly held Usyk with his hands and constantly hugged, + he should have raised his shorts even higher, to his neck, ahahaha
Jesus Chael, did you even watch it? There were 3 judges. The AI was a a 4th judge, but that scoring was not official. They did reveal that before the fight and it was very clear.

If any fight between the two had to be scored split decision it should have been the second, round 9 TKO first fight Usyk clearly won…. I think because it was scored split the first time, it gave Fury false confidence that he won the second fight, which I could understand since the second fight he was on his front foot and didnt get rocked as bad, Its like they scored the fights backwards …Either way great fights and im happy for Usyk🙏🏼
AI may be scored this fight better than anyone. It could be checked precisely reviewing the fight in slow motion, scoring every moment... I would like they find the way to score past fights also with this AI. And check its validity. We are almost near "perfect scoring era" in boxing.
It was a really good fight and it was pretty close. It wasn’t close enough for another fight. Usyk won both fights and nothing told me that Fury will be any better if they had a third fight. I think Fury should fight A.J. In England and then retire. He could beat A.J and finish his amazing career on a win. Usyk to me has nothing left to prove,, his legacy is set. He’s a top 5 fighter all time in my opinion. I don’t know anything about boxing though.

Regardless of the wrong timing for bringing an AI judge on title fight. WHEN was a judge REALLY questioned for getting it "weird"? They are not blind. There is "wrong" and there is robbery. When a person (one name!) was called to answer for the robbery in professional fighting? Never. So, throw us angles that are polemic just for the sake of being so. It can be fun. This one here is valid, solid. But then, why ruin your premise with half-wit argument?
Ai wasnt part of the 3 judges it wasnt used to score the fight they was testing it the 3 judges scorecard used for the result was the human judges the ai card was revealed after
They didnt use the AI as an official judge. All 3 judges were human. The AI judge was just there for some fun
Yeah, he almost certainly knows this and is intentionally pretending not to lmao, like he always does.
This mf will lie threw his teeth, but bc he’s the bad guy and everything is an act, it’s not defamatory or slanderous lmao
The AI as the 4th judge gave the match to Usyk as well. So 3 human judges and 1 AI judge said Usyk won.
