Ive seen this centerpiece done before but it took an hour to show and explain how it is done. I love that you explained it so clearly and beautifully in such a succinct way. Thank you!!!
Decided to do this with a twist… used felt and didn’t join the initial squares… added some bells & will use it as our Christmas tree skirt! Thanks for the inspiration
Thank you Trisha, I have a jug with pothos growing in it on my kitchen table. I'm thinking if I make the squares big enough it will make a large enough circle in the center to place the jug. Would be a lovely addition to the table centers I have to change around a bit.
One thing I found out the hard way, is not to use directional fabric. I found some pretty harvest print fabric, cut out all the squares, and only after I did the 12, I realized they would be crooked. I hand cut each 12 squares individually, so they wouldn't all have the same image. So the fix was to cut the square into a circle, I will applique it onto another fabric, this way I can turn it the right direction.
Hello Trisha I recently bought two packs of the William Morris frinchies from you and wondered do you have any ideas what to make with them apart from a quilt? Could you make an infinity scarf? Thanks so much your brilliant at sewing x
I’ve just signed up to make the Christmas wreath & your instructions were really good. Does it matter what size square you use or what’s the best size please
i used 4" squares for my first wreath to see results. I'm very happy with it and now making another. i would say you could use any size square as long as they are all the same size.
Gwyneth Mann - if you have squares, finished size 6”, the measurements would be the same for finding the mid point at the top edge but 1” up from the bottom(instead of 3/4”) on the right hand edge. Join the two points as on this smaller version 😁
Hi Trisha. I bought the “Incredible Mitre Tool” from your last show on “The Craft Show”. I am sorry to say I am still struggling to get a decent corner. The 2 a4 directions sheets are helpful to a point but the pictures aren’t very clear and I can’t fathom things out. I have tried numerous techniques and countless attempts at getting this right but I can’t seem too. I press the seam at ½ an inch and line things up with the edge of the project then draw in the lines but from there things derail and as I say the diagrams aren’t clear enough to follow. I can’t find a video on utube of you showing the procedure. Can you help
Hi Peter - if you use Facebook, there are quite a few tutorials on using the Amazing Mitre tool. If you search for Sew Totally Trisha, look at the top of the page for Videos, all the Trisha Time videos are there. Search in Files and there is a list for the dates of each one. Otherwise, I shall be uplading a UA-cam tutorial ahen I get the chance.
@@sewtotallytrisha1350 hi Trisha thanks for getting back “sew” quickly (ha see what I did there lol 😂) unfortunately I closed my Facebook account due to their policies on selling our information to other websites and designers. I could watch out for you on The Hochanda Store though. Do you know when you are on again? 🥰
@@peterstratten3087 - I'm on next Sunday 20th February @ 7am and 11 am. I will get a UA-cam tutorial done but life just gets in the way!! Thanks for your input though

If you cut six inch squares what would the measurements be to sew please.

Sew Totally Trisha thank you very much. Your demonstrations are so easy. Love watching you.
Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing. That's so easy and pretty. Do you put a candle or something in the middle? I've never seen one before.
Yes, a candle is perfect for the centre, but only for visual - I wouldn’t light it 😁
@@sewtotallytrisha1350 - - Thanks.
Does anyone know if you can make a smaller version with a 5c square?
