Great help!!! I’ve been in that infamous “players rut” for several weeks. it’s videos like this one that open the door enough to allow me to break through and get creative again. Thank you!!!!!
Thank you Tom Hess. The sustain and harmonics were elusive the past long while for me. I’m getting the guitar and effects figured out better. Compression, distortion, overdrive and other effects etc are hit and miss but getting better.
Very nice. What ever you show seems to expand into so many other things as i struggle to copy, I hate copying lol...Its wonderful not to be stuck but almost scary because of the amount of knowledge you pass to us... I am a beginner.
great vibrato man, great exercises too, i plan a practice session around these ideas, i often find simple reduction exercises like this great and.. very musical! a thing many players miss, personally, i try and make the thing sing also. having said i try and learn everything i can too! it's just that it's usually the slower stuff that speaks to me..
Is it possible to make a video showing how to make the finger reach farther frets, and at the same time, keeping it clean? For example, playing the 15, 17 and 19 frets of the G string. Something like Dimebag does on Cowboys From Hell and Jeff Loomis on Sibyline Origin. I can't reach it that far, especially making it clean

These are cool licks to learn to look like a pro guitarist while not playing hard things
Love the vibrato. Great tone, too.
4:47 this is the lick I've been wanting to play for some time now but I didn't realize that it was so simple, especially does up. Thank you Mr Hess:)
Awesome lesson as usual! Thanks Tom Hess! Implementing this today!
Cool licks! Thanks for the video Tom Hess.
Thank you, very inspirational
