    Making the template with paperboard is a great idea. I guess it must be as accurate as possible once you transfer to the leather and test the knife. Will try it for sure. Thank you for share! 👍

    I love that sheath. At some point, I definitely want to give scout-carry a try.

      Thanks Jessie, yeah Ive always worried about a rear scout carry, because I worry about the knife falling out and being lost. But since making this one the front scout carry seems the way to go for safety and concealment.
      Ive still got to make nice sheaths for my own knives when i find the time ....so may be ill give it a try
      thanks for watching dude , Bruce

    What about using surfers or skateboarding wax? Seems like it would work great for the edge of the sheath.

      +Rusty Harvey thanks, it took a lot of working out and thinking to get it to work how I wanted, but that's half the fun of any build. I would love to have the time to make more than I do, but reality always gets in the way of my dreams

    What did you use before you burnished the strap edges? The big yellow block... was it some sort of soap?

    • @WildGingerBruce

    Probably silly question, but what's the pad called you are working on? Thought it was just some engineering paper, but seems tough like you are cutting on it and whatnot.

    • @WildGingerBruce
      @WildGingerBruce  3 роки тому

      It's a self healing cutting mat, I went for the biggest I could get so I can turn it if an area wears out, also useful for keeping cutting square using the lines,.... Not a silly question
      Thanks for watching, I've just uploaded 3 more leather vids on this channel, go check them out

    Most of us are looking to watch someone make something in order to have an idea how to make it. I don't know why you would want to speed it up. We go elsewhere to watch something at normal speed.

    • @WildGingerBruce
      @WildGingerBruce  4 роки тому +1

      Not many people would want to watch a 6 hour video, its just designed to give you some ideas of ways of making things, there are plenty of cutting and stitching tutorials out there
      Thanks for watching
