Hi, I have a jacket that the bottom of the zipper has come away a bit(not the side with the pull). Can anything be done. It's just that very bottom plastic long piece, right at the piece.
Thank you for your video. 😀 I have always been fascinated by zippers my whole life even now. 😄 I always wondered why some metal zippers had those little humps. Now I know! Thank you for being so clear in your explanations.☺ Does your company sell zippers only to wholesalers?
Hyrum, thank you for your videos😀 could you explain zipper sizes? Patterns always gives a zipper length but they all look so different specially from 24 inches up. Thank you.
+Norma Feyjoo if you mean zipper gauge sizes, then it really depends on the application of the zipper. If you need a strong zipper that will take a lot of horizontal pressure, then you'll want to go with a larger gauge size. A dress zipper is usually a #2 or #3, where a standard hoodie, center front zipper is a #5. Here's a post that we wrote on measuring the zipper gauge: www.ucanzippers.com/measuring-the-zipper-gauge/. If you need further explanation, feel free to reach out.
The zipper pulls (and their retaining tabs) on my luggage get sheared off by baggage handlers and cannot be put back...the slider has to be replaced. Luggage repair places do this and it looks like the zipper itself is not removed, nor is the end of the zipper opened. How do you change the slider without removing/opening the zipper? Can you make a video showing this repair? I have replacement sliders. Thanks!!
Eli Gruber the BEST way to do this repair is by unstitching and re-sewing the ends of the zipper. This way you're not manipulating the slider body. I did make a video where you manipulate the slider body to work it onto the chain. You have to take care when you're opening up the new sliders, but this will replace the slider body without cutting and sewing. ua-cam.com/video/mry4HflMj0o/v-deo.html. Let me know if you need further help.
UCAN Zippers USA Thanks for sending this. From your other videos, I thought this would be the process, but I was hoping there was a tool I could buy that would spread the slider and crimp it more efficiently than using pliers. Maybe the luggage repair store will share their secret the next time I bring it in. Thanks for tip!
Useful information -- thank you! :-) From what I can tell, though, you don't sell your lovely zippers to home sewists. :-( Any chance of that changing in the future?

+AngelOlivo unfortunately when that pin gets damaged, it's almost a lost cause to try to repair it.
So where can we purchase these zippers for home sewers at? Who sells them?
Can you do a video on how to insert zip around zipper in a wallet and which zipper to use?

Lorem Ipsum unfortunately, because we're a manufacturer we don't plan on selling small runs. It's just not cost effective for us. Sorry.
UCAN Zippers USA Well, maybe you could sell leftovers from large runs on massdrop.com? Just trying to get you more business! ;-)
Thank You Really Helpful
