Del says he ran an Aprillia dealership for 10 years but the first time he had the chance to look at the frame of a Ducati was when he noticed one in the carpark at his job as a bus driver? 10 years and not a single Italian bike enthusiast showed up there on a Ducati?
Nice one Matt. When the railway company fitted the Deltic engines to the loco, they Detuned the engine so much to extend service intervals. See if you can find the book I sent you about the Deltic.
F1 aero isn't adjustable during the race because regulations say thou shalt not have movable aerodynamic devices, except for drs when permitted. Not sure about MotoGP, but i wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the same, on the grounds of cost, complexity, and the governing body basically saying "before you start, no." Canada 2012 Schumacher's DRS stuck open, Bahrain 2013 Alonso's did. What did you mean at 1.44:30 when you said it was a safety system? They're (fia in conjunction with a few teams) working on self-adjusting wings for some upcoming rules and it's not working out, it's making them inconsistently unstable - driving like the rear wing's randomly fallen off. Actve suspension was banned for 1994 in part of a set of rule changes mainly intended to slow the cars down.
@UnCivilEngineerIRL 749, 999, 1098 and 996. Things of beauty. 749 is a track bike with a 1098sf swap i did myself with swingarm, 996 will get the same treatment with forged wheels and modern 1098 suspension. All hand built or worked on
So, had to go off and eat with friends, missed then end. When you're talking about del's bullshitting being absolutely blatant, yeah - he's one of those people, we all know one, who will make shit up to your face and swear it's true, despite you having been at the incident in question. Ours was Ralph. Ralph Thomson. Chinny reckon, Ralph. Back in the tail end of the '80s, there was a group called "I, Ludicrous". They probably still exist, but they did a song about people like this, "Preposterous tales in the life of Ken McKenzie". It's worth a listen if you haven't heard it.

The Honda CB450 uses torsion bar valve springs.
I own 4 ducs, my faves are my 999...in yellow. None are tacked together...NONE!
I feel vindicated 😎
What are the other models you've got ?

@@UnCivilEngineerIRL haha that was you with the 999 love?! Only an engineer can appreciate them...people will learn and come around eventually
@thediddly but the 999 is fucking ugly. Why do you think it's called the 999?
@@thediddly it was indeed, Matt publicly scorned my love of the 999, but I shall not be deterred 🤣
You have a nice collection there I must say.
Next on the pyramid stage. Dels Rusty Trombone
