    I have been having this problem!! But in my situation, my upper right arm stays in E string position. This is very helpful, thank you! :))

    After you achieve the exercise in string crossing, you may use it for change of position on the same string or even fingering. It ist a big help for precision.

    Does the elbow height remain stationary with some crossings? I'm thinking of the bariolage motion in the allegro of Handel's Sonata no. 3, Suzuki bk 6.

    It works for me to put the wrist movement before D string gives me the balance.

      The exercise is specifically for the elbow motion - no wrist movement on purpose
