im new to TI4, my neighbor got me into playing so im going back through and going through all this content. ive only played once and im hooked. reading and listening to everything i can. this game is amazing. thank you for the wealth of content.
You guys are amazing!! I love the format and coverage... really great balance and makes watching very enjoyable!! Hopefully, all other content creators of live TI4 playthroughs are taking notes from you guys. Keep up the great work!!
A few comments: I loved the water bottle comment haha The amount of times Saar (black) put his hands in his mouth would really make me not wanna touch any pieces of the game he touched. For next year, would it be possible to record table audio and commentator audio separate, and split each into either left or right? There were a few different times I wanted to hear what they players were saying but I couldn't.
While I understand where you come from regarding Saar's player, working in forensinc has made me see so many time how much bodily fluid we spread around, wether we are careful or not, that I learned to stop minding such things. I wouldn't call out anyone for asking him to stop though.
I would love to see some UFC-esque (ie name and shorts color) names with coordinated colored graphics pop up every now and then. I am having a tough time figuring out who you are talking about without referring to the description every 30 seconds.
A different question than the one already asked about 33:40 but still pertaining to the transaction - how was this transaction allowed? I thought a transaction could only occur between neighbors, and at this point in the game Sol and Jol Nar are not neighbors. Am I wrong? I've played the game ONCE, 7 months ago, and I'm about to play for the second time very soon, so I'm trying to relearn everything. Would really like to understand the rules better, and I just don't understand why this was allowed. I must be missing something obvious.
Hacan can trade with non-neighbors, it is one of their defining faction abilities. Once Jol-Nar gets their promissory note (at 18:25), Jol-nar also became able to trade with non-neighbors.
was the map built in violation of the rules? the green alpha wormhole is a red hex and the players put red hexes next to the red alpha worm hole. Does the no adjacent red rule only apply within a ring?
The non-adjacent tile rule is for anomaly systems with red borders, not the red backed system tiles. Additionally, wormholes of the same type cannot be placed adject. In either of these cases, if it is the ONLY place a player can play the tile, they can break that rule
He bought Jol Nars research agreement for trade goods (three I think). Naalu and Saar were upset because this gave Jol naar enough money to get the plastic to take a further system in the first turn (ie a carrier and infantry). It sounds like this is something Jol naar normally struggles to do and is one of the few disadvantages they suffer early on when fast expansion is key. Of course Saar would be upset that it means Jol naar can expand towards him...
Hey @JemmeyGaminG I moved from the other vid to answer your question here. Sol starts with 2 carriers and 5 infantry. Sol first action moved out to the planets directly in front of his home, leaving 1 carrier available to be moved from the home. Saar then popped Warfare turn 2, allowing Sol to build using the secondary to build another carrier, meaning he had 3 total to move in R1
What the hell is with the 2019 TI finals? no victory point whiteboard, a shaky camera, did the guy who was supposed to put everything together get off the wrong side of the bed that morning? 2020 better be on point.
I really appreciate using the race names to refer to the players. It makes it so much easier to follow. Thanks!
@Jamie Shepherd bruh....

"Anytime it's Saar's turn he's going to talk a LOT" Saar starts talking during a conversation that doesn't even involve him, lol.

Its a custom made leather holster for sure 😆
I'm pretty sure he just placed it back on the ground lol
This is some of the best TI4 content around. Loved it.
The Hype! Can't wait to watch this!

Love the format, has me hyped for future coverage of the tournament! You guys have done an amazing job :)
Just lovely!! Can't wait for the rest!
This looks amazing I wish I knew someone to play with
Clan of Saar needs to stop biting his fingernails, picking his nose, putting it in his mouth. Wait, they are space dogs...
Hi, do u know what rules did they had to pick races? It was just the speaker chose first or they could ban some? I googled it but couldn't find it
elforaper I believe it’s covered in the beginning of their coverage for the previous year
Could you please mention the colours and races in the description? Makes it easier to watch. Cheers
Updated! Thanks for the suggestion!

jol-nar got the space convoys promissory notes from hacan earlier in the game which allowed him to trade with sol
@@DaCooGa AHA, thank you so much, that makes sense now.
@@DaCooGa I was also puzzled about this deal, but that makes sense -) it already happened on 18:25. Missed that one.
When will the rest of the game be available?
Did that guy not know he was on camera?
25:00 that dude eating his beard hair?
Yeah Magi! woop woop!
Hah, where did that bottle of water come from, a utility belt?
How did they do that trade? Is there a destroyer somewhere?
Which trade? Hacan are in the game and Jol-Nar gets Guild Ships very early, so those two can trade with everyone.
Hacan can trade with non-neighbors, it is one of their defining faction abilities. Once Jol-Nar gets their promissory note (at 18:25), Jol-nar also became able to trade with non-neighbors.

@@SpaceCatsPeaceTurtlesPodcast thank you for the clarification! I must have misunderstood or otherwise misread the rule.
Hacan should have told Jol-Nar he wanted Magen, it would be non-binding for him to use the REsearch Agreement, right?
Can someone clarify to me what happens at 33:40? Why Sol looks so confused and Saar and Naalu are so impressed?

How did the sol player start with 3 carriers

@@hunterfyffe149 this makes 10x more sense, I appreciate you answering my question. :)
Anyone knows what Hacan got for the Trade Convoys? Thanks.
A tech from jol-nar
He got a research agreement which he chose to not turn in when tech was popped.
How did sol(blue) move to 3 tiles turn one without warfare???
Nvm. He built on warfare
He used the Warfare secondary to produce an additional carrier and infantry.
Bathroom breaks are key to good gaming
They didn't know that next year Jord would be hit by an X-89 Bacterial Weapon ☠
Competitive TI....I dig it!
Tyson Fury plays Twilight Imperium.
What is the zero button (piece) they are using? Looks like it covers a number on a strategy card.
It's the Naalu "0" initiative counter
Anyone else concerned that the Sarr player is eating his beard hair? Lol
Paused @36:00. I could never play with this guy.
That playmat is still horrible! All the systems sliding around... X-(

i know right.. where was the white board? i mean the easel was on point waiting for it, but it never showed...
I look forward to seeing the tournament *you* organize for a major convention.
That comment did not age well.
The no name becomes the champ.
Boring map! Cant watch.
What makes the map boring?
Whst makes it exciting?
Then don’t...
