The button to release the trunk on the outside is over the rear license plate between the plate lights. It’s low but it’s there! Also that spare tire is optional.
My golf bag fits fine in the trunk, though I have to remove the two or three longest clubs from the bag and lay them separately in the trunk. I had to remove the long clubs to get them in the trunk of my previous vehicle, so it's something I was already used to doing. And I would say there is room for a second bag, as long as neither bag is particularly large. Trunk is amazingly useful for this type of vehicle.
Great walk around review. I’m renting one tomorrow and this helped me feel more comfortable hopping in and going. Especially popping the convertible top asap 😅
@@lenerio7736 Hi! Can you please tell me why its worst as a first car? Im asking because im about to buy the exact car, promise I will respect your opinion, thanks!
Newer muscle cars shouldn't be your first car especially if you're financing it. On this car alone even though it's new, first time car owners fail to service their cars regular
@@johnballs I can tell you by experience financing a new car isn't a good idea knowing it'll depreciate (cost more paying it off overtime). For first car owners, buy a decent used car, pay for it cash, service the car regularly, own it for at least 3 years, and save up buying a nicer car. It cost expensive maintaining a new car and first time car owners neglect basic maintenance. Scotty Kilmer has a good channel on why buying used reliable cars that last. If you're a new driver or have a not so good driving record, sport cars aren't good since your insurance rates will spike. Mustangs or sport cars period aren't good commuter vehicles
I have this car and I love it - I notice it was great even in the snow ❄️!!!! and I have a 2023 Shelby super snake but you can feel the eco boost when it gets up
Another great video Man! You’re turning into a regular car dude! Ha ha what did you end up replacing your Prius with? Or have you? Thanks for keeping these videos goin there great

100 Rental Cars I think someone has the Need For Speed bug. Hahaha. When it comes to BHP I actually prefer cars that can utilize 90% of their Horse Power. I love to ring their necks. Haha. To Me it is such a waste to have all that extra BHP that in 3 seconds you’re at speed limit and only used a small percentage of horsepower. I love the sounds of a nice engine and it’s addicting to want to rev it and waste fuel. Or Red Light Race and keep getting tickets. I use to have all the hot racy cars that would spin out of control and no traction in the winter. But the lower Horsepower cars that had some road feel were the ones I loved driving.
Really? You're kidding me?!? I seriously looked forever to try to find it. Sorry I missed it. Hopefully I'll get a chance to rent another Mustang soon and I'll make sure to include it. Thanks for pointing this out. And Happy New Year!
I’ve been considering buying one so I rented one of these in Florida and drove across the State from Tampa to West Palm Beach. It is noisy, not in a good way. If you accelerate hard there is a weird low frequency rumble like a pickup truck. At speed, you hear gear noises, tire whine and wind. When you accelerate, there is a noticeable delay when power kicks in - and then it is overwhelming. Fine for accelerating from stoplights but a little unsettling if you are trying to scoot through a gap in traffic. The car is fun and reasonably comfortable. I’d still consider buying one but I’d definitely get the GT for more even and controllable torque delivery and I would assume the fastback is a bit quieter.
I just rented this car from enterprise yesterday, the sport + mode is a noticeable difference between the normal mode, especially the throttle response. Just tap the gas and it really jumps

OK folks.. The honest truth. I own a 2016 Mustang Premium Convertible with Ecoboost. Had some initial warranty problems and a dealer which screwed up the electrical system, but after $10,000 in repairs, most covered under warranty, it's fixed. That said, it's lame in the sound department. I'm a 62 year old muscle car owner of the 70's and although my car looks great, I'm selling it for the GT. Got to have my V8 rumble..
If I were buying a pony car right now, it'd have to be a Mustang. I've never driven a Challenger, but having driven both a Camaro and a Mustang, the Mustang has better visibility and is more fun to drive in my opinion. :)
I'll say the only non V8 muscle cars I'll drive are convertibles. My rental came with free Sirius radio (I'll usually bluetooth or AUX Tune In radio). I flew to Maui 2 years ago and everyone was driving Mustang Convertibles. I rented the Jeep 4 door Wrangler instead.
I'd probably go Wrangler for the city. I'd hate to see the Mustang get scratches and dings from parking it. Just be careful, they don't do well turning at high speeds. So be careful!
@S D I think the things to consider buying a car is why are you buying it. I enjoyed the Jeep Wrangler because every tourist was driving a Mustang convertible. When I rented the Mustang, I was in Los Angeles during the summer and I enjoyed the back roads throughout Southern California. I think one rule of thumb if you're a first time car buyer that if you had a license less than 5 years, your insurance is going to be up there especially when a Mustang is considered a sports car. Financing a vehicle requires drivers to have full insurance, so your insurance will be pretty high. The maintenance needs to be kept up and Mustangs are prone to reliability issues especially the delicate driveshaft on the non V8 Mustangs. Mustang like other pony cars are big, bulky, and have poor handling. I myself don't like getting in and out of them. Jeep Wrangler has similar issues but unlike the Mustang, you can buy a used one several years old, and the tech is very similar. The upside that I rented a Wrangler with sporty trim (no fancy tech, infotainment, etc), so it was fun in that sense. The Pentastar V6 has descent power. My conclusion that any sports car you'll buy will tempt you to drive over the speed limit, SUV's are still bulky. Even though the Mustang Ecoboost is a 4 cylinder, it does 0-60 in 5 seconds which isn't slow. If you live in Southern California and like beaches, Ford Mustang, live out in the country, Jeep Wrangler, if you're an muscle car enthusiasts, V8 Mustang, if you were me, 2020 Honda Civic coupe. Raiti Rides reviewed a black one recently, it's low emission, sporty in a sense, cheap to maintain, and handles better. You can buy a 10 year old Civic coupe and you'll get a sense of sporty feel.
Nice review. I bought one a few weeks ago. I should mention that when you put the car in Sport mode ("S" on the gear shift lever), it will continue to shift automatically but with more precision; if you tap the accelerator coming out of a corner, it'll downshift). Once you use the paddles in S, it'll stay in manual mode. Anyway, I'm loving mine. Thanks for a good review.
Thanks for the kind words and for the tip. I hope I get a chance to drive this again. If I do, I'll definitely try out the sport mode precision shifting. And, I'd love to be able to put the top down when it's not 30 degrees outside too.
I had this as a rental last year, which was nice but it’s not as nice as my 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport which is actually nice i took it on a 3 hour roadtrip and it did great. I’m going to try to get a bmw z4 roadster that i saw at the enterprise branch i rent at it has Florida temporary tags. They didn’t let me rent it because it has a temporary license plate, hopefully I’ll get it next week.
