Look, the way the attacking guy is doing 3:26 you don't need to do anything since he is targeting you elbow not your face. Because that its looks like fake. So next time tell him to target your face and then we will see if the Technic really works.

When you go to trap or grab you leave yourself open for a bit, so countering and taking advantage of that opening is a good way to go.
