Hello! What do you think of the Puma series CVX transmission? Especially the tractor's own gear and throttle control system. We have 225 and we were told that we should never let the tractor do its thing, because it wants to shift constantly while working and we only use it in manual mode.
The CVX transmission is totally seamless. No selector for high and low for road and field work. We drive them everyday they are very popular on higher HP tractors. Might look at doing a video on the CVX transmission.
what work speed is that ? is the oil and filters change regularily? has the software and firmware etc been updated? has it been calibrated by the dealer ? but some models do suffer in certain applications where the work speed is just at the speed where it changes "gear". around 11-12kph mark. our newer 175 we can lock in into the low range but not on the older 165 fyi,
@@SlyFoxl Yes, the oil and filters are changed when the service manual says so, and as far as I know everything is up to date. But the Case mechanic who did the monitor calibration told me that while the Puma CVX transmission is very good for trailers and road transport in general, when it comes to field work, the transmission tries to find a better "gear" every bump and so plus it's not very strong for heavy work like plowing. So he said, always use it in manual mode and feel free to get the engine up to 1800 rpm, whether you're just disking or plowing or whatever. Except, of course, for spraying and fertilizing and any other type of work where the implement is not moving the soil and just "rolling" behind the tractor. And yes, the typical working speed is around 11-12 km/h.
@@-opresiet-1414 yeah thats abit unlucky its in that work speed. Been driving 5 different swb puma cvx. 2 that ive myself with combined 6500h and the 3 others ive driven for others. They all are different model years and spec side differs. Some my's are "worse" in that sutuation. With the newer 20my puma i got i can lock in 1st gear and it wont do the change and if i recall correctly that couls be done with an update to older models. Holding the button behind on the stick and then "change" gear down and an arrow should appear and cant adjust speed over 12.7kmh. Our old 2011 t7.210 ac was annoying like this on seeder and cultivator but from experience the newer the better in this regard. Maybe do an ecu tune? Not to get massive hp gains but abit more torque and move the curve abit so it will have more grunt lowend. I think that would help too
@@SlyFoxl Thanks for the advice, I'll try that holding down the back button+turtle combo. The tuning is also a good idea, maybe if the first option doesn't work I'll think about doing that. Thanks!
I love how he casually reaches over to the joystick controller and selects OMFG speed mode and dominated the road to the point that cars stop and pull over to avoid his reckless speeding on ag tires meant for mud, not hard surfaces. Some farmers aren't exactly the sharpest tools on the farm.
No??? The cars stopped and pulled over because it's a narrow road and btw ag tires aren't meant for mud... they're meant for traction on off road surfaces and not to mention they work completely fine on road... clearly you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed. Maybe use that common sense your parents taught you and read between the lines.
@@cotswoldfarmmachinery Love to hear it. Been dying to experience the new cab personally. Ever since i saw leaked pics of the magnum like 3-4y ago. (Yea ik this is the new eu cab 😅) But man covid lockdowns didnt help cnh getting these out and 1y ago we lost our nationalwide dealership for cnh so we have no local ones here either yet. But theres a big agri fair happening soon and the 260 might come. And the upgrade and update is well overdue. But it seems it ticks all the boxes any user can have for a modern machine. Might swap one of my swb pumas for one if all goes well 👀
Para eso es ahora un tractor , para ir de viaje o a buscar novia😂😂😂😂, porque no as mostrado nada con eso solo que lleva mando a distancia, y se arranca con un voton como un coche pero de trabajar nada , eso es chatarra para trabajar
Wow, you can hear the turbo screaming away as it accelerates with ease. That's one fast tractor 😮

It’s a massive upgrade from the previous offering! She’s a beaut

I still think that vario is better then cvx.
Fendt vs Case ih, opinion?
I like case more because of how it looks and sounds. Fendt is better from a technical point of view

These new cabs and armrests coming down to smaller models?
You will soon see the new Puma cab on the SWB Pumas.
Is this calmsden?
Very good
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
was it doing 1400rpm "flatout" at 56kph? or was it left of the throttle?
It’s got the power and efficiency. All you need to do is sit back and relax 🤌
