  • In this tutorial, one of our designers gives you a brief overview of the main differences between the Strengthen, Bond, and Solidify functions, and how to properly apply them. These three functions have similar effects but they should be used for different purposes and understanding them will simplify your design process.

this is good thank you! Can you alter the strength of the strenghten and solidy? So its somewhere in between on and off?

Hi Christian. No currently there is only one setting for both Strengthen and Solidify. But if you apply Bonding there are different types of Bonding at varying strengths.

Activating Bond is applying fusible properties to a pattern pieces; collars, plackets, shirt cuffs, etc.

When I try solidify my piece of garment becomes white. In the video when it is solidified the colour remain the same. How can I deactivate that option in CLO3D to keep the same original fabric or color?

Solidify has now been given a color in the 3D window. This is a new feature. You can hide the color or all colors by right clicking on the background of the 3D window --> Show/Hide Color. If you HIDE color it will stay hidden on all projects until you SHOW color.

I've tried them all plus using the high physical properties to achieve stiff fabric like metal or plastic but failed and when i us convert it to trim it doesn't attach to the garment in animation mode ... any advices please ?

Hi. You may have more luck commenting on our Community forums and adding images and an additional exhalation of what you are trying to do. . Since this video is not about trims but fabric stabalizers

Why I try to apply bond to a fabric, it changes to fabric color to brown. How do I fix this please?

The color changes to show that bonding is applies. In 2D this cannot be turned off. In 3D this can be visually turned off in the 3D vertical Toggle under Trims
