Thank you for a very informative instruction. I have,justrecently(2yrs+/-) to studies once a day. I am a 58 yr old young believer and have a lot to learn. I also believe I do not have much time to accomplish this. I believe we are very close to the rapture of the Church and pray that I'm seen worthy.

Until recently I hadn't heard of the gap argument. I believed in 6 days of creation with things having age. I've come to understand that what you say is what has been understood for a long time. I've had to change my views on several things in the last year. I just consider it a lack of understanding. I accepted what I was taught instead of questioning things as I ought to. Thank you for your willingness to teach and thank you for the videos. It has helped me questioning the things that I have been taught.

The issue with billions of years is that people can use that to try and prove a case for evolution. Taking years to evolve.

I like listening to your point of view regarding your interpretation of scripture. I don’t think it’s constructive to accuse a brother of being bigoted or looking foolish either because interprets creation on a different timeline then yourself. I’ve listened to both points and scripture references observe both views have valid points to make. I think both sides will have some things right and some wrong. Please continue to educate us with your reasons and scriptural facts for your interpretation but please don’t make us feel belittled if we see it differently. We all know in the big scheme of things we are simply splitting hairs on this topic considering the more important topic of knowing salvation by grace through faith alone. Thank you for sharing and helping us to understand your interpretations of scripture.

The best, most well reasoned teaching that I've ever heard on the subject. Reaction to evolution nonsense, shouldn't lead us to embrace anything that's contrary to reality or history. Scripture supports both.

4:02 How does one make sense of this, knowing that in all recorded history, the constellations have not changed? For everything to be moving away from a central point at the fastest speed known to exist yet no change in thousands of years.
The sun doesn't appear to be the center, what our feet are planted on sure does seem to be though. 🤷♂️
Mike is a wonderful teacher of the word. He is honest and thorough. He is right that science or actually pseudoscience should not override the scriptures.
Very interesting and enlightening discussion. A question arises. Genesis 2:7 says God formed man from the dust of the earth, existing materials. So, it seems that both verbs are used in the creation, forming of man. I know that God could create anything He wants to in six days or less. Does believing that make a person a non-Bible believer. It's difficult for me to see any relevance in the Job Scripture you mentioned. Either or is very possible and easily construed. The big question is, does it really matter. There are many things that God has chosen not to reveal to us at this time. That we believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for our salvation is all that really matters in the end. I agree with you. God made everything.....including dinosaurs.
Think about when you dream. Everything in the dream has the appearance of age yet nothing is more than a few minutes or seconds old.
Good info on the difference between made and created. I have a few questions:
What are the verse references for 1) cursed earth and 2) Earth for angel habitation before Lucifer's fall?

I really respect that you don't disable comments on your videos as many churches do. God never hides from questions (Matt. 7:7-8), and it seems like a disappointing act of cowardice. I do understand not answering every lunatic that posts something silly but, as much as possible, questions that can be answered with the Bible, should be.
Bless you Mr. Pearl, for being able to put into words what has troubled me for a long time. God intends to remake this world again after the second coming of Christ, and it has always made me wonder, if this world was a recreation of a previous world, and such things as dinosaurs were a part of that world. I haven't been able to answer the "how old is the earth" question because all answers are based on assumptions, science on the assumption of uniformitarianism, and young earth creationism on the assumption that this is the first time the earth has been created and that Adam basically sinned the moment he took a breath, I don't think Adam's days were even counted until he was banished from Eden, who counts the days when you can't die and don't age? Either way, I still don't have an answer and have basically let Proverbs 25:2 rule my opinion on the matter. Some knowledge, only God knows, we should seek out the answer, but it doesn't mean we're going to find it, because only God is omniscient, and it is part of His glory to conceal some knowledge from us.

Any YEC view is literally because of the support of God & Scripture.
This is my concern here... A YEC studies their position greatly... It doesn't come by ignorance.
In this video, he even claims there's no proof, he is just suggesting his claim by some words meanings.
Also, why is there false witnessing on people's characters, simply by an alternate view that has nothing to do with character or an attack on God's word and ultimately, NO bearing on salvation?

I remember the day the holy spirit revealed this truth in my in a simple way but complicated to my wisdom reading Gen chapter 1, I was in denial, and i thought to myself no human will believe this if i tell explain to them, seeing this solidifies my conviction more. Who am i to understand the way of the spirit of God
Can Mike please make a video describing the “heavens” as he mentioned but also focusing on the millennium, elaborating on what the earth will probably look like for those 1000 years while satan is bound?
It will be very helpful if he can explain how that is going to happen after Revelation chapter 19 and what it will probably look like.
What will that be like for those who survive the tribulation? What will it be like for those who are in heaven? What will finally after satan is loosed?

My eyes got wide open two years ago and I see the world in a totally opposite way then I did before. Now everyone around me thinks I'm crazy and don't see what I see. Six days. The scientists cannot seem to agree on how old the earth is when all they need to do is read the Bible
I heard someone say on UA-cam that even though the universe looks like its billions of years old because of the stars, it could have been made to look that way.
He then said when Adam was created, he was a grown man, but he was not in his 20s even though physically, he was an adult.
I have never heard this teaching before - EVER - but it has greatly intrigued me….. 🤔
You make a very compelling point about the difference between “created” & “made” in the original Hebrew language - which leads one to recognise that the two words have a very specific DIFFERENT meaning from one another, than the generally *conflated* one in English….. (Eg. We describe God as our “Creator” yet also state that, when we die, we go to meet our “Maker.”)
I have been a “Young Earth” Creationist ever since God led me to trust in the Word of God as infallible & to reject the school taught Theory of Evolution that we are all indoctrinated with (in my case, BEFORE I became a Christian). The Young Earth position - despite being routinely ridiculed by Atheists who arrogantly claim to have science on their side - actually has a great deal of science to back it up, but, until watching this video, I had never heard any teaching that stated that it was a position that contradicted the Book of Genesis! Indeed, it is the CENTRAL aim of the “Answers in Genesis” (Young Earth) Creation Ministry, to DEFEND the authenticity & veracity of the Book of Genesis, since it is the FOUNDATION upon which the rest of the Bible is built! 🤷🏻♂️
Since it should always be the desire of any Christian to arrive at THE TRUTH as declared by our Creator & not to cling to one position or another for any other reason, I shall certainly investigate this teaching further & watch this video again in the course of doing so…

Once i got my head round the fact that everything inn the natural universe inc the earth came from the spiritual realm sure did give me a different perspective on this life! everything in the natural is temporal subject to decay and is impermanent, only things in the spirit realm are permanent.

Mr. Pearl, is it possible that "one day is like a thousand years" could be applied to the six day statement?
True reality is when "science" and "religon" aligns with the absolute "WORD" of G-d. "For in the beginning was the WORD." Those who hear His voice and choose to do His Will and abide in His Spirit will be Given His Grace and Mercy to be called children of God.
It has been my belief that God created everything out of nothing (Gen. 1:1) and that which He created was without form and it was void. It had no shape and was empty. Then He took that substance over 6 days and formed or made from it all that is. As an analogy, He created the lump of clay or playdough and then formed and made everything from that "building block".
This view follows Scripture without having to twist anything. It actually matches, to a point, what you are saying. However, I don't see how the distinction between "made" and "create" necessitates a gap between verse 1 and verse 2 of Genesis chapter 1. As I stated, I also make that distinction, yet I am not convinced of a gap.
Except Isaiah 45:18 says God did not create the earth Tohu - the same Hebrew word we translate into "Void" in Genesis 1:2. So Isaiah 45:18 explicitly says God did not create the earth without form/void/a waste place.
Thats my take anyways.

How do I ask a question about Revelation chapter 3 verses 15-16 what it means when God says if lukewarm I will spit him out ?
Based on the genealogy of the Bible, would it be correct to say it has been approximately 6000 years since the creation of Adam? That would not necessarily contradict that the universe could be billions of years old.
Two issues you might run into - and I have not done the research so take this with a grain of salt and do your own.
1. There are apparently provable gaps in the genealogical record , not every father-son was recorded. I think we can still ascertain an approximate number of years from Adam to Christ but I would not base my faith on it.
2. I have also heard that one version of the hebrew text had its dates altered, maybe by 100 years for each name in the generation log. I think the key here is to find out which version of the Hebrew text Jesus read from while he was here and use those numbers
Again, I have not studied it so this is just hear say. Do your own research if interested. "I resolved to know nothing except Jesus Christ - and Him crucified"
@@matthayes533 Interesting, I've never heard that not everyone was recorded. Perhaps that is why when the genealogies are estimated from Adam to Jesus you might hear anything from 6000 to 10,000 years. I wouldn't think they would be off by more than 4000 years even if there are gaps and errors in their ages at death.
The book of Luke has the genealogy from Adam to Jesus. To that point you either believe the writings in the bible are spiritually inspired and true or not. I personally believe the earth is only 6000 years old and that God created everything in a literal 6 days. If God could create Adam as a fully grown man out of dust, why could he not have created the earth and the universe with a mature and aged look? If Adam was only a day old but a fully grown man, why could the earth not appear to be billions of years old but in reality be only several thousand?
Also per the Bible we are in the 7th day which God has rest. It conveys to be longer than 24hours. Other references in the Bible also speak of his rest. Shalom
