This is not my opinion, it's what Hyunjin actually said, I think in the Howling something YT video. Hyunjin and Bang Chan were interviewed or asked about what made them do Red Lights and what the meaning was behind it. Hyunjin said, "Bang Chan and I wanted to do something sexy and we came up with Red Lights. We wanted it to be of a sexual seductive nature." and then he went on to explain, "The meaning behind the song though has to do with compulsion and obsession." So by Hyunjin's own words and mouth he's said Red Lights was meant to be sexual by nature and they wanted to do something sexy, but it's not JUST sexy and sexual stuff, it also has a deeper meaning too. So it's neither JUST sexy/seductive/sexual or JUST compulsion/obsession, it's both combined. However, it STARTED OUT as just being sexy and seductive and sexual because that's the type of MV they wanted to make. But it became something even deeper. I love how the rest of the Stray Kids were like "Wait, you wanted to do something sexual WITHOUT US?!" Lmao
Chan : This is just another song like drive which is definitely about traffic lights & hotel reccomendations and the lyrics was definitely written by Hyunjin ! (Keyword : DeFiNiTeLy)
