Thanks for uploading this. I just got an X4 Ducati special and on my first trip it was fine, on my second trip the whistle drove me nuts, I did have the peak on, adjusted to the lowest possible position, I was thinking I would try to adjust it up a little and remove it for testing. I'm pretty sure its the peak that is the cause.
Thank you! I didn't notice the whistle on my first few rides but it's been driving me nuts lately. Going to try the foam strip route now. Much appreciated!
Glad you found the video. Yes, once you notice it, it's tough to ignore! Hope the foam does the trick. Seems like a good option based on what others have said. If you don't mind, stop back and let us know how it goes. Thanks!
Fun fact: I wear this helmet for 4-5 years now and over 30-40k miles I never had the whistling problem riding different bikes (from sport to supermoto). The peak is completely stock.
Any chance you measured that at the center? I’ll just cut my own. Hopefully my sticker is in the same spot as it looked like they cut right to the edge of it.
Unfortunately, I didn't measure it. The Arai rep contacted me after they modified mine and said they cut into the original sticker a little bit. He said they removed it and put a new sticker on slightly lower before mailing it back to me.
Is the helmet generally quiet apart from the whistle? What is it like for wind noise? Just being cautious of spending a load of money on one of these when my last helmet has been terrible for wind noise!
Yes, it's generally quiet except for the whistling problem, which Arai was aware of and fixed. I also did a lot of research and read a bunch of reviews before I purchased it. I still wear it and can see why it comes highly recommended. In my opinion, it's an excellent helmet. Best of luck finding the right one for you.

Thanks for this video, I found it while searching for ideas on how to quiet my XD4. I will try a ride without the visor. Thank you!!

Cheers bro, the whistling has been annoying since day 1. Will get in touch with them.
Salve, dove hai spedito la visiera per la modifica? Grazie

I have the same problem but me its when i ride screen open, you too ? Thanks you
That's interesting. Mine whistled with the screen open and closed - it didn't matter. The cutout in the visor fixed it, thankfully.

The Arai distributor in Australia, Cassons, is politely...the opposite of responsive lol
I'm sorry to hear that!
My arai signet x is loud af, and its driving me insane.
Is it too big? Most riders have a helmet that is 1-2 sizes too big. You can get thicker cheek pads and crown liners to downsize it.
