@@Urhmmmmgenerally speaking, it is use for showing respect and politeness. So to anyone and in the family circle, especially the older as you said ;)
Max did it again. I like how you and Chris professionally and nicely interact with the locals. Always fun and informative to watch. Stay cool and have fun.
Really enjoying your recent posts where you’re conversing with the various people around - clearly you have a great ability and they seem to appreciate you learning their language. I’m very glad of the subtitles, but I really appreciate you speaking their language too - you’re a legend.
Vietnam just that one country that have everything ! Just traffic is horrible but when you hit the country side n beach is like heaven n their foods are sooo good
I think Max knows Vietnamese food, at least these snacks, as well as any typical Vietnamese native and better than any American-Vietnamese kids I know. We grow up watching our parents or older siblings preparing these foods, but it's amazing that he somehow acquires these knowledge just from travelling around (maybe from watching how-tos clips on youtube?).
Max’s laugh after cracking a joke is always the cutest. I also don’t think the “Mac -expensive” joke will ever get old 😂 thanks for bringing me back to my childhood with all these snacks and the broken chair lol! Now I’m craving them all especially bánh cam và bánh bò 😭
Max, Chris, you guys did it again, absolutely amazing VNmese snacks that I love, love and love!!! also, I found out that it’s very funny when Chris does the play-by-play comments every time he holds the camera for you while you eat or do something else!
Max không chỉ biết thưởng thức món ăn ngon mà còn biết nguồn gốc xuất xứ, biết rất nhiều món ăn ngon còn nhiều hơn là người việt sống nước ngoài, chuyên gia về ẩm thực có khác
Great video Max. Thanks for taking the suggestion and doing the snacks video. So much more Vietnam food to show. Best wishes and good health to you and Chris.
Enjoy your videos. Are peanuts in Vietnam not vegetarian? Didn't understand Chris' comment about vegetarian sticky rice in the North (around 8:00). Keep making content!
Good morning from Montreal QC Canada .. Bonsieur Monsieur and welcome back Sir .. as always beautiful sharing adventure documentary footage street food travel blog and you nailed it again .. loved watching your lifestyle documentary and your Vietnamese speaking as always tip top and not a word I could understand, but to you and you rock it like a piece of cake to you .. and absolutely put a big smile on my face .. keep doing what you love to do and I really appreciate it and always behind your back to support you .. take care and stay safe my friend .. Merci beaucoup Monsieur
Max, in your videos you are really smiley and friendly. When you are in Chris's videos, look very grumpy and annoyed. I realize you are probably not trying to impose, but kinda liven up man. Don't gotta be a downer. Chris always looks happy to be there in your vids.
Lol he's quite an ambivert, leaning more towards introverted side. It' his resting face, he basically saves his energy and doesn't want to outshine Chris cos it's not his video. Chris does the same when appearing in Max's videos also.
I love Vietnamese snack. One of my favorite ones is Banh Cam I don’t know why but they never sell Banh Cam in California🥲. I really look forward to having all kind of yummy street food while I am there next month!!! Enjoy watching your videos as always. Thanks for sharing, Max!

Love all the various snacks you picked up. One of my most favorites of all time is the one wrapped and steamed in coconut leaves (banh it or is it banh ich?). I prefer the ones filled with coconut AND crushed peanuts. Interesting that her version separates the coconut ones from the peanut ones vs mixing the two fillings.
What you have was “Banh it Tran” served with fish sauce. A sweet version of banh it is with mung beans or sweet coconuts. Market is the best place where you can find all sorts of food at a reasonable price.
Giỏi quá, I wish that my children could watch and follow up with your Chanel so they will have an idea with all the "street food" in Việt Nam. Besides you two speak very well in Vietnamese! ❤❤❤
In Vietnam, there are a variety of delicious and cheap foods, snacks, and beverages. I am craving just by watching how you guys eat. Most of the stuff you tried in Vietnam are hard to find in the US and not as tasty or as cheap.
This all looked too good😊 lol yeah I’d be so dizzy drinking black coffee. Even cafe sửa đã is too strong for me most times lol. Shoot I don’t even remember my grandpa ever drinking just plain black coffee, he always had to have café sửa of some sort

I like to hear you say” dạ, dạ” in south Vietnamese because it makes you a polite person.
So it’s a polite gesture to “da da” back to anyone or just older folks?

Damn. Max here dropping puns.
"Max" => "mắc" quá
That demonstrates not only your wit but also, your understanding of Vietnamese.
Max doesn't even have to try so hard, his Vietnamese accent is getting more and more local and sounds like a Southern Vietnamese's now.
It's so nice to hear you speak vietnamese with the people. You're getting better and clearer 😊

Hi Max , you guys ate all my childhood snacks. I am living in the state now and can’t find fresh snacks here. Really miss it so much.

You’ve made the good choice by having snacks in the market as they the best at a reasonable price. Well done and enjoy 😊
It's amazing that you both stay slim, eating all those snacks.
I love how you LOVE my VN culture so much!
