  • Today we're heading off for a European Brew as we're looking at the quintessential Belgian Beer, the inimitable Lambic! A touch longer this time, because you actually get my first impressions of this beer!
Audio will be a bit different in this episode, as I got a shiny new mic which I'm still playing with.

When i was born my father bought a crate of geuze at my 18th birthday we drank a bottle and for the next 24 years we had this tradition of drinking 1 of those bottles at my birthday.

The unique water argument seems like marketing, not unlike Coors Light or Kokanee say they use Rocky Mountain water.

    Awesome video.
I’m new to lambics I was wonder if anyone could tell me how long I should store Cantillon & 3 Fonteinen lambics in my beer fridge before I open and drink them. Thanks for your help 🍻

Thank you! I was new to Belgian beers when I made this one. However a longtime subscriber and friend of mine gave me a proper education after I made this. According to Netflix we watched Tomb Raider but niether of us remember what happened in the movie. XD . From what I can tell Belgians can be either fridged or not, but I've never left them long enough to age. :P From a quick search it's possible to age lambic due to it's nature, but ideally store it in a cool dark place and store it on it's side. The longer you store the more the flavour will change though. Seems to be a lot of discusion about how long though. Beeing a beer geek is about trying stuff though- might be worth storing them and trying one a year. ;)

Cool video, Always chilled (most have the ideal temp on the label) being bottle fermented that’s how you get your fizz 👍

Hey Daniel, thanks for your input! Guess I did the right thing chilling them first then. It's spooky, I was just thinking I wanted to try Kriek again and then your comment popped up. Maybe it was meant top be, hahaha!

Yep, these live action ones really do rack up the minutes! It's probably because I'm actually tasting these ones XD

Sour beers can be very devisive. Some people love them, some people hate them. I expect if I had not been told that they were supposed to be sour I would have thought mine had gone off too!

13:37 "More Research" I wish I could do some research. Neat video! Are you gonna stay with beer or are you gonna show some other drinks like wine or rum? (Personal favorite of mine)

I'm sticking with beer as it's what I know the most about, but I am going to branch out into related subjects eventually. Haven't discounted talking about spirits and wine at some point, I'm sure theres some.. ahem.. research to be done in those fields.

Disappointed that it's not related to Lambs somehow. Also I feel like these videos are just an excuse to drink beer haha genius!
