      I agree. If you know you're going to be swimming, applying extensions doesn't sound like a good idea, but it depends on their hair and their money. I'll keep my personal opinion to myself

I guess I see too many girls around with bad stylist because once that weave comes out their hair looks so damaged. I also have a question, why doesn’t the blow dryer/hair smoke up when you dry her hair. Every time I get my hair blow dried - either at home or in the salon, there is SO much smoke! LOL! I have a lot more hair than your client, but it doesn’t seem like that should matter... Thanks for sharing!

    I’m a black swimmer and I have had sew ins while I swim. I swim 3 times a day. In high school I would get my hair done for an event but it was always sew ins. Swim caps are not meant to keep your hair dry they are me to help swimmers glide through the water with less resistance. No I wouldn’t have gotten that style because now your adding heat to your hair constantly but their stylist is a miracle worker.

      Maybe put braids in and use a swim cap. Condition sprays and oils are necessary if you wear braids to keep hair healthy. I prefer installing my own braids to avoid tension and those things. I just followed youtubers. They have great ideas on how to handle these situations.

      Swim caps are for reducing drag, not keeping hair dry. Huge misconception in the black community lol you're actually supposed to wet your hair before putting them on so the suction is better. Just wear braids and use ultraswim or other gentle chlorine removers cause your hair will always get wet if you're really swimming, have fun! *I was a lifeguard and instructor for 7 years

    Hmm interesting form of extensions. Are these less damaging than a traditional weave?

    • @GodsFaveSim
      @GodsFaveSim 4 роки тому +23

      They are I-tip extensions which are secured to the hair with a metal bead. They are less damaging as you don’t use any heat to attach the bond to the hair, they are perfect if you have a lot of hair as it will hide them well when installed properly. If someone has thin hair then tape extensions would be better for them as they lay flatter on the head. The beaded extension is a pretty popular one the last few 10 years or so as they can last longer than a sew in weave or bonded extensions.

      Nope same effect over time. I mean c'mon, METAL on your hair for a month at a time...not exactly clever 😂

      Tension on the hair strands think 🤔 about it.

    • @sugerbiskits
      @sugerbiskits 4 роки тому +12

      They are the same. The only real difference is they are more versatile for the client. If you are not used to them or do not maintain them they can be damaging just like other forms of extensions. I’m not sure what Anthony is referring to because most extensions do not require heat to bond, at least not in our community.
