  • Have you experienced having difficulties while riding your scooter? Have you thought about what if something happens to you while you're on the road? We all know that "Prevention is better than Cure" and that is the exact reason why I made this video. Other than to prevent the possible technical difficulties, I also made sure that your scooter could be optimized on its optimum performance without visiting your eligible casa for minor adjustments and tune-ups.

    Since I always do my weekly cleaning and maintenance on my scooter, I would like to share to the world my ways and methods on how to do some Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Preventive Maintenance and how to optimize its performance.

    Very informative on what I need to do when I receive my new Macury Grace 10 scooter from China which is the duplicate model of the zero 19 except I had more choices of battery configurations. I got a 52v 10 amp battery to save money but no 18 amp was available. Of the 3 videos I have watched, I found most of the tools and sprays you used but not everything. I hope they send me an Allen wrench or I will have to find a scooter store in nyc to help with maintenance which is not easy. Thanks so much!

    Great content! However you should not add WD-40 to the bolts as that will easier make them come loose. Instead you should add threadlocker which secures the bolts from coming loose from vibrations and protect against corossion.

      @JGVstream  4 роки тому +1

      Hi! Thank you for appreciating my work and for your comment. There was one time that I experienced a creaking sound whenever I step on my deck. The technical support of its distributor told me that WD-40 could fix it by spraying it under inside those screws. And it really fixed it. However, I think the threadlocker trick could fix it anyway. Thanks to you bro. Will try it soon after this quarantine season

      @JGVstream  3 роки тому +1

      @@betodruid4422 From my personal opinion, Unicool is an OEM or maybe a clone brand of Zero scooters. Now if you're going to ask me about the quality, think about it this way.
      If I am not mistaken, Nike shoes are manufactured in China since their labor fee has low-cost and they are equipped with mass-producing facilities. It is not a secret that when China accepts brands for mass production, they also tend to copy the entire product and rebrand them. Same process applies between Unicool scooters and FalconPev's Zero Scooters.
      My scooter is made out from an OEM design, but for me, I had no problems with it. As long as it can deliver the specs I paid for. I hope I managed to answer your question

      Hi mauricio, thank you for appreciating my work! The pouch on my stem is actually a 2L Wild Man bag, it contains:
      - Xiaomi Smart Air Pump
      - Portable multi-tools
      - 8.8ah Battery with 12v DC in/out
      - 2x USB 2.0 ports for charging electronic devices like phone
      If you're asking about the battery, it's not extending the range of my scooter, its purpose is to give power for my 12V Atom V2 lights mounted on my kiddie bar and my to my Cree light on the bottom of my sterm. The battery gives power also to my horn. All of them are triggered by switch. I can refer you to the person who did the entire setup if you want.

    • @JGVstream
      @JGVstream  4 роки тому +1

      Hi robert castigador! I suggest you test drive the unit if you're buying a 2nd hand Zero 10. Try to do the ff:
      1.) Check the brakes - Zero 10 has 2 kinds of brakes, Disc brakes and Electronic brakes. (You can google the settings on how to calibrate the Electric brakes). You can test the e-brakes by slightly pulling the brake levers. And if you pull it all the way, it will trigger the disc brakes. Both of them should work properly.
      2.) Check the maximum speed - Try to lift the rear tire of Zero 10 and pull the throttle. On gear 3, it should render a maximum speed of 60kph.
      3.) Check the suspension - Try to jump on the deck of your Zero 10, it should be bounceable
      4.) Check the wirings, lights and the charging ports, see if they are intact and working properly
      5.) Check the feel of the steering rod, it should be smooth when turning left and right
      6.) Check the battery - for me, the only way to check the battery is to test drive the unit until it runs out of battery. You can easily see the battery charge of the scooter by reading its current voltage level. You can google the P-settings on how to see the current voltage. The battery should be drained at 42V. Hi @@froilanrobles1623 , major factor of the acceleration feel is the torque. I suggest that you consider the Voltage of the battery of your prospected scooter like Zero 10. It is equipped with 52V 18ah, which is the same as the 52V 18ah version of Zero 10x. Meaning their torque is almost the same, the only difference is their top-speed. Reaching the top-speed requires a lot of factors like inclination of the road, traffic, type of the road, tires, and of course, the time.

      Hi Augusto Abd! Thank you for appreciating my work. I can recommend it if you use it for city driving, for commute and moderate travel distance. It's not so heavy so you can easily cross foot bridge and its acceleration and torque can cope up with motorcycles and cars, well considering moderate traffic. The negative part maybe because since it's not that heavy, it affects also on its parts, mainly the batteries. The range is not that enough for long travel distance. I hope this helps your question. Hi True North! Sorry for the late reply, and thank you for appreciating my work! I used the "KOBY Tire sealant", you can easily purchase that in Lazada. Buy 2 pieces since one tire requires one entire bottle. The stock tires are ok as long as you won't pass thru broken pieces of glasses or sharp and pointed rocks. It's not that capable of passing thru rough road.
      From the time na nag-lagay ako ng sealant, hindi pa ako na-flattan sir, the sealant was installed last January 2020. I hope this helps your question. Stay safe!

      Salamat sa info! Hindi ba sir makakaapekto sa reading ng tire psi kung may sealant sa loob?
      Kelan next upload nyo sir? Excited to learn something new from you hehe. Ride safe always!
