Mr. Tundup Dorjey, Founder and Director of Overland Escape, who holds a postgraduate degree in tourism from Pondicherry Central University. Mr. Dorjey recognizes that tourism development can pose a threat to the fragile ecology of Ladakh, and has therefore based the company on a strong policy of "Tourism with Care for Nature". He personally leads garbage cleaning campaigns organized by the company at the end of the tourist season, and actively supports and practices the concept of "Homestay" systems introduced in many tourist areas of Ladakh. In fact, the company can claim to be a pioneer in this endeavor towards sensible tourism.
