The Dr. Vincent Le Seigneur House is an expertly restored Charleston single that effortlessly blends preserved historic details with upscale, contemporary finishes to create a truly unique property South of Broad. A large center island is made out of Silestone, a natural Quartz material that is stain and scratch resistant, and the appliances are all high-end including Wolf, Miele and Thermador. A sliding wall of glass looks out into the courtyard and can be opened to enjoy the sight, sounds and smells of the garden. Below the kitchen is the original water cistern which has been converted into a wine cellar with a capacity for 510 bottles.
In addition to the pool area and courtyard, there are porches on the second and third floors. A detached, climate controlled garage allows for additional storage and a wisteria-covered driveway provides off-street parking for up to eight cars.
Other improvements in the extensive renovation include: a newly configured pantry/laundry room; smart house electronics controlling security, climate, lighting and music; Sonos music system; new wine cellar climate system; and new gallery lighting in living and drawing rooms. Outdoor improvements include: new landscaped lighting; a Knockout mosquito system; new gate electronics; automated pool cleaner; new pool enclosure and child-proof gates; and new spa filter and cover.
