I met my girlfriend in November of 2022 and she’s the best thing to ever happen to me and this song means so much to me now. It always did because his voice helped me, but she gave it meaning and a purpose. Thank you Ray for being you and for putting your music out to the world because you have really helped me and inspired me.
He has such a haunting quality to his voice. It stays with you. He embodies everything an artist should or could be. He’s ridiculously talented and such a fantastic interpreter of song.

I also grew up a huge rap fan but after like 25 years it got boring hearing how many different ways I was gonna be killed, and how much more money and hoes the rappers get than me 😆😆 Now I listen to more classic rock, R&B and soul-ish stuff. If you like the raspy voices I recommend 'Crazy' and 'Crying' by Aerosmith.

His position on stage was a little different during his 2006 tour. He stood in the center with the drums behind him and lead guitar to his right and bass player to his left. I've noticed since 2008 (or earlier) he shifted to the audience's right side of the stage...either way, he could stand on his head and i would still love his sound. the best voice in the last 20 years, in my opinion
