Yeah, I'll have to wait for someone on the coast to do that - our waves don't get that big out here, lol. With that said, once the trailing edge is completely swamped, its effectively the equivalent to getting washed over. I've been able to launch the kite with it sitting in the water for a couple of minutes, so I think its doable for the wind ranges where you'd typically have waves.
