2nd Schindler 330A Hydraulic Parking Elevator at First Colony Mall in Sugar Land, TX. - 2022 Take

- Video Recorded on October 30, 2022: Same exact kind as the first one I filmed except it's only a couple floors. Also, the contacts for the floor buttons on the COP are badly worn off to the point where they barely even push in now. Even the "DOOR OPEN" button wouldn't even function! First Colony Mall definitely needs to fix this. Other than that, runs well. This is the last elevator from this entire mall. Installed in 2006.

Besides the beat up buttons and the drink left on the floor, this is still a nice elevator.
nice elevator take
I love the epic motor.
When I was volunteering at the Harrison Center in Wilmington NC with the Schindler 3300 Elevator with FI GL 100 fixtures the door open and the door close buttons are broken and they don't beep and I accidentally close the door on that student with with me but likely the sender works.
Nice
Hi JimLiElevators, thanks for making that video. What does it mean when the elevator is death trap? What are vandal resistant fixtures?
“Death trap” just basically means something is really dangerous and it is close to falling apart, in which in reality it’s not a proper term if an elevator doesn’t run well. Vandal resistant fixtures are basically a stainless steel type of button cap with the light in the center in which basically are used to prevent vandalism. Those kinds of elevator buttons are usually stronger enough to hold up well in other words.
@@JimLiElevators Thank you for the information.
That's why 330As are not very well maintained. Also are you going to The Galleria next Saturday? And sorry if I said that twice.
I probably won't because it's far out, and I preferably want to go during weekdays 'cause everything will be open at that time, especially Galleria Tower II. That's probably the only office location that is easily accessible. Can we maybe arrange something either Thanksgiving or Christmas?
@@JimLiElevators Oh yes, also, my Thanksgiving break will be from 21 to 25, so possibly those days we can have a meetup there. I will also talk to my parents about the meetup.
Or can you at least come down to Sugar Land? I know of some good places here. And plus, do you still remember that 1972 Otis Lexan elevator and the 1980 Dover right across the street?
@@JimLiElevators Possibly gonna come aswell, and no, I don't remember those. I guess I have to film them?
Yes. 13515 Southwest Freeway and Atrium At Sugar Creek. Really need an updated take on those two as well.
