Oh hey, that's me! I appreciate your review - it's always great to get other perspectives on my work, and I appreciate the nice things you had to say. A couple notes - I wasn't tracking that issue with the hopetech part, but it's had door related issues in the past. I will investigate. The doublewide is awesome - definitely my favorite cockpit. I wish it defaulted to having both doors open, but I believe that this is a bethesda level issue with how they determine ship internal layouts. It's something I'll keep poking at. If anybody else notices any issues, especially on xbox, since I had to use external testers for that release, I'd love if you shot me a message on nexus and let me know so I can fix it. Other than that, I'm just happy to see people enjoying my work!
Ironically, when the game first came out, I was doing this by using the flip and duplication glitches for hiding the very small Armstrong Cockpits inside Deimos Structural Parts, and depending on which parts were used you could achieve similar results if you wanted "safer" cockpits without glass windows. However, some areas of the Structural parts would clip through at certain angles while inside, and break immersion. What this mod author did perfectly is match the interiors to the shape and size of those Structural Parts, and make the custom view-screens. For some reason it reminds me of Ghost In The Shell, the kind of "windows" they might of had inside armored tanks, and rather than holograms I think the layout is meant to represent triangular TV screens (which is why they each have the small crosshairs) being fed footage from two dozen cameras scattered around the hull outside.
Ahhhhhh i really like these. And I was on the verge of using them in game, and I like these nova seat soo much that I just can’t 😭 I hope this catches an update to reflect the proper interior design.
Makes perfect sense. Technology should be advanced enough to enable fully virtualized cockpits and quite frankly, it's strange that Bethesda didn't include such options in the base game. Maybe restricting them to certain manufacturers as a specialty feature. Just wish those various bridges also had more various sized interiors or we could just have windowless versions of all the bridge modules.
It's very cool, I'd love to see the mod author make the actual cockpits in the game look the same but have no glass and use these panels instead, this way we still have the look of the cockpit.
Thanks to @FlightController for the mod and @Crimson for the commentary. Might have to use these on a Gunship or Monitor build. Too bad Starfield requires every build to be a ship as opposed to a boat, no System Defense Boat (no Grav Drive) builds.
The Xbox issues have been rectified within an hour of them being released yesterday. The issue I had were the blank smart glass once sitted. These parts rock
Well, it was a misstep on Bethesda's part to mention that players have spent 26 million hours in the ship builder and yet ZERO new parts have been added by Bethesda. To give a greater sense to that number, 15 million have touched Starfield in some way, and 1.5 million entered the Unity. So the people that enjoy building ships will spend hours doing just that.
I love this mod .The strangest thing happend tho My glassless cockpits wont connect to a 1x1 hab on x box .I really dont wa t to place door youself as its going to take ages to place doors
@youngson02 ok so I placed weapon attacments you know the ones that look like sunroof under the cockpit so it cout only connect to gab you needed hope that makes sense .Its trying to connect to somthin thats not in the doorway block them off
That’s actually pretty cool, crimson. Well done on the mod, author. Very unique mod. With that being said, it’s a pass for me for now. Let’s see how the updates keep rolling out.

Boy wasn't too interested at checking this mod out but now that I see these cockpits I am impressed with the look and layouts. Bravo!

Coffee time! Yeah that’s neat. Thanks for showcasing. Great video.
These are very cool…I’ll be adding them to my collection! Thanks for the review as always CFB!
Unique concept. Great showcase as always.

has 8:35 the large nova galactic has a double entrance, one from above, the other by staircase below, they can also receive a porthole
I didn't realise, will have to check it out on stream
@@CrimsonFlyboy sol system, titan moon, to have the special material of nova galactic , cockpit cabot C4 bridge

Cool concept and execution!
Awesome that this is finally on Xbox as well. Long overdue for some Expanse or Gundam style builds

Awesome to hear
very cool mod ive not built a ship yet so this mod will be used to build my first one
Are these mods like gold for ship builders? I never built a ship in this game
Very helpful for ship building! I’m guessing you haven’t had time to build ships as you make the best damn Weapons mods in the whole game!

Any idea if they still have to be placed at the nose of a ship to have the correct view? Or can I nestle them in deeper and still see out?

I still don't get it, why the game doesn't have 2-wide standard cockpits?
🍺 Overdue for a LiveStream 🍻
What's the point, there's no free look.
You can see me free look as soon as I get in the first cockpit
Meh. I'm underwhelmed.
This is lazy. They're almost all the same on the inside. That's.. not good.
If you think it's lazy then make your own mod and put your money where your mouth is
