Awsome truck! With vehicles like this its not only the vehicle that is the best part its the fact that it makes mundane and tedious tasks fun and exciting again. Id still love to see a Legacy truck really get worked over by some hard off roading!
so what do u mean in all honesty can u explain the tranny..... ( 5 x 4 )...... as if i was a 5 yr,. old plzzz & thank's...... ????????? i ask cus i'm still learning here on the older cool rig's like this here !!!!!!!!
@@jamieround2072 5x4 trans is two transmissions one in front of the other. 5 is the main 4 is the auxiliary. Its kinda like an 18 speed only the two air shifts are another stick. That is an over simplification of it but the basics
That’s a a sleeper cab done by a company out of Orville, Ohio. New Internationals, Fords, Diamond T’s,etc were sent from the dealership to that company, to be made into sleeper cabs. The quarter windows are 40’s ford coupe. Also starting in 1950, Diamond T started using L series International cabs!
A Subsidiary of White Trucks. (A GM Brand) then to part of REO. Named after Man behind it, Ransom E. Olds of Oldsmobile. A Cummins in a GM product, thank you Sir.
@@holsttruckpartshtpcrew3554 gotcha. I wasn’t sure. I grow up in Idaho Falls. I was a little older than some of his grandkids, when they lived on the old numbered streets.
The title says it all "Imperfectly Perfect 1951 Diamond T" The man who built this truck was into function, and not as much detail. If you look at the pano of the engine compartment you can see he wrapped an old sock around the power steering reservoir. The man was a legend and we aren't changing a thing. As for the browning yes it s 6041, can go 2mph or 80mph. Thanks for your comment and for watching the show!
I found the video pretty good, the truck is beautiful but the music was to loud. I don’t mind some music but when you can’t tell what is being said it is too much. Really just lose it.
Hello Chicago boy I wanted to tell you I love your channel ! everyone have funny accent ! I love your look but I suggest a different hairstyle man sending good vibes and love from Tenn
That's the great thing about these builds, the guy who pays for it can build it the way he wants. This one was driven from Idaho to Arizona pulling a fifth wheel RV. Cruise the highway at 70 and enjoying every minute and nd enjoying every single waving passer buy! Cheers to you and your builds.
The lines of the back of the cab are just gorgeous 1950's perfection.
Like me 71 yo. My dad owned a DT winch truck. Loved that old truck.
Yeah...I can fly.
Makes me recall all the Big trucks I saw as a kid.
A friend and co-worker of mine, picked up a '59 Diamond-T cabover to restore some years back. Nice trucks!

Holst are good people and Winslow knows how to perfect a truck!

Music DROWNS OUT the REAL music - of the Cummins! Not cool.
My mom had a cousin that made furniture and delivered with a 40's 3/4 ton Diamond T truck
Love it!!! Don't change a thing except oil and filters once in a while.
That's all we plan to do! Cruise with the kids and honk at the neighbors!
you had me at hello
Nice truck

Awesome channel. Make sure you all subscribe! Love vintage vehicles - particularly ones that have been restored.
Nice
International.& Hendrickson were built in Chicago also.
could in no way be any better , period ....
That’s what I need for travel so I can sleep in the cab without being cramped.
Prettiest years of that one. Would rather have heard the motor than the music dubbing for this particular kind of video though.
I just realized that I have been driving past one in the woods for years. The front clip is missing but the cab gives it away.
That cab is an International Comfo-Vision
You are right! Good eye 👍🏽
Could you please post the name and contact info for the truck parts business shown in the video? Thanks

I think the Lemons of Lemons housing moving have a similar vintage of Diamond-T.
This is the same truck. Built by the one and only Reed Lemons.

As beautiful as this truck is. Why are the cb wires a mess? Love the 8.3 cummins allison combo. Brownie must be under/normal/overdrive

Where’s mine?
Same year
Not every video requires an obnoxious soundtrack.
I would have used a 6v53t Detroit Diesel.
if don't think wide loud mr williams diamond t that runs outback.
I found the video pretty good, the truck is beautiful but the music was to loud. I don’t mind some music but when you can’t tell what is being said it is too much. Really just lose it.
Turn up the music I think I heard the engine once or twice.

Cut the music and just listen to the awesome Detroit sound...
That was grandpa's old truck
Your videos are awesome except for the music, please either choose something else or just don’t play it over when you’re talking it’s terrible
to bad you turned it into an automatic.
Not a vintage truck because he changed the engine so don't care how it drives.
