Technomage got a change on beta branch. Instead of +20% item cost in shops, it's -75% xp gain. I like the change, because it lets you buy all the cool items you encounter in the shop like the Strange Book or the Pocket Factory or Greek Fire that help the class pop off so hard, but still giving a significant if more subtle issue to deal with.
Yeah, definitely a good change since technomage wants 'stuff' and so sacrificing levels is a much better trade.
This will make him very very low health I think
@@Abdullah0091a It will definitely hurt your HP gains, but it's a more subtle 'nerf' that 'feels' more fun.

Did a mage run this morning with the Icicle. Long range, has natural piercing and hits like a truck when upgraded. Hitting 540 crits on stage 20 and just watched the bosses melt.
Also tried icicle and works really well as an elite killer, also in endless outperformed potato thrower in a fairly decent build
Icicle Mage also has the fun effect of tagging into Particle Accelerators, so I set a PB Mage Endless score with that when I got to six of them with a Hoodie
Regarding ice cube melting elites: Maybe a bug. My theory is, since that one item you have burns elites for 1% HP and ice cube increases damage by 10%, that the formula is bugged and the combination burns elites for 11% of HP instead of an intended 1.1%.
I can't do any tests to prove this since I don't play Brotato but this seems like a "logical" mistake to make or a mistake, that's kinda common. As in: "We have this old item dealing %HP damage and now added this new item, that increases all damage dealt by 10%...ah crap, it's additive."
Just finished another mage run because now he is powerfull, since you finished your run eyes surgery is now a limited 2/2 so its buffed.
Also greek fire its a legendary but i managed to find it anyways in the shop with 140 luck so my beloved got nerfed immediately
I think I would have started over after the Wave 4 shop. That said, one of the things I like about your channel is that you take your knocks and keep on going.
as opposed to rerolling every wave off camera and then posting the MOST EPIC RUN EVER!!!1 as if it happens all the time...
Ah yes, the dual-Peacock Horde Wave, also known as the YOLO GAMBIT! A shame you couldn't try it this run, one day.
even with all these items making elemental easier (when you get them), burning as a mechanic has big problems:
- can't crit so it robs you of hunting trophy money and caps you in endless
- greek fire is far weaker than giant belt (other damage types can hit hundreds of % attack speed with hoodie etc and apply the belt damage a zillion times while the burning hits a few times)
- non-elemental builds can simply buy 4 sausages and eventually find greek fire to make use of it even with 0 elemental damage
(so is the point to use the weapons with built-in burn or not? they're weaker in other ways to make up for having burn..)
- damage over time is the opposite of what you usually want: 'more enemies dead sooner' is key for making your build run smoothly. the one and only item that tries to play with this is fried rice, and the upside of it isn't as strong as what other characters get from just killing stuff sooner
-> even on this run with the new items adding tons of power, the benchmarks for economy/time to kill etc are all missed compared to other characters.
-> if "spreading fire far away" is the main draw...i can just do that with sausages+good weapons (nuke, shotgun, smg, potato..)
maybe 'improved tools but for burn time' would be good? (too good now that we have greek fire?)
is nuke launcher still the strongest elemental weapon past wave 20?
I'm putting this comment at 20 seconds in -- Greek's fire is my favorite addition to elemental builds!

Now it gives enemies +10% health instead of speed. Looking forward to your opinion on this
also Balls and Chain now has a Minimum of 0.75 seconds
It looks like this update is going to be really good for elemental builds. Considering scared sausage + pocket factory has been one of my most favourite combos.. they actually had to nerf mage to balance her around all the new stuff😂
In the newest patch, loot aliens from lure are no longer affected by percent enemies stat.
The other thing you pass by a lot that I think you shouldn't is Pickup Range.
Bro drops a vid and an update giving him only a 50% reduction to engineering drops minutes later hehe
Do you think they should increase legendary weapons chances to spawn when getting into late waves ?

They actually removed the loot alien spawn in the new patch:
