Hi Dan! I'm Alin, I'm a 28 year old guy from Bucharest, Romania. Not an aspiring author but an aspiring racecar driver. And I think there are quite a lot of parallels between the two, in the sense that both require a great amount of energy and external factors in order to be achieved. My biggest problem in achieving my goal is the "lack of focus", maybe I can explain better, but in order to become a successful racecar driver you need quite the substantial financial support. So far my biggest issue has been "balancing" side quests that were supposed to help me gather money (one example would be me creating "wellness courses" for corporate clients in the hope that they would pay well enough and be good enough so that when time comes maybe they could sponsorship my racing endeavours) and actually training to become a better racer (both from a physical stand point and work in the simulator). The reason why I want to do this is because this is my calling, because no matter how much I try to push it aside it keeps coming back time after time again 😅. *by wellness course I mean, teaching people how to count calories, how to set weight loss goals, how to pick the appropriate PT for them etc. Sorry for the long message, hope it makes at least some sor of sense 😅. but it just flowed right out of me...
I've been playing with writing a book for a whole decade now. I've tried to start so many times. I've made it thousands and tens of thousands of words. Now I'm just world building since that's what I love the most. Maybe I'll get around to finishing the story I started.
