Secrets Resorts Tour: Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya vs. Secrets Wild Orchid Review

We recently visited Secrets Akumal Rivieria Maya in August 2021. Since we had been to Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2014, we decided to do a comparison between the 2 resorts.
Both resorts are amazing, and we think you really can't go wrong with any of the Secrets Resorts. We seriously love these resorts and the staff really takes care of you!
At Secrets Akumal, we stayed in a non-preferred ocean-view room. We did visit Secrets Akumal in the middle of covid, so we understand some things may be impacted by the pandemic.
We think the time of year you visit Akumal makes a big difference, as we visited in August, had horrible seaweed every day, and lots of red flags.

I went to secrets akumal this year and it was our first all inclusive and we absolutely loved it. We are looking at secrets wild orchid for our honey moon later this year, so this video was perfect for me! Thank you! Also.. we stayed in building 9, top floor at the very end. Not sure if that is where your arrow was, or of the room next door, but thought that was funny!

We actually just went back to secrets wild orchid for our 7th anniversary a few months back, we will be doing a more in depth comparison now that we have experience both places within the same year. Hopefully we can get the video out soon, just haven’t had time to edit.
