I believe we will inevitably drop points this season, however I agree that if we do through these slow starts will be annoying. Peterborough a perfect example, a shite goal that's only due to our error and then we are on the back foot straight away.
I have been a Bluenose for over 70 years, from the days when my Dad would take me to St Andrews. I am quite a long way from the ground now as we moved to the other side of the world and live in New Zealand. BUT that still does not stop me from watching your very interesting blog , and thoughts of every game, so please keep up the business and of course KRO.
I went to Fulham mate and we ain't ready at all, granted that was before we are as solid as we was now and they let us have the ball so we looked descent but they was simply managing the game brilliantly.
Played well the other night, think Sampstead was very good once got on Tuesday night. Paik and iwata as a 2 in the middle are unbelievable, feel sorry for Leonard really as can’t see him in starting 11 unless injuries. Stansfield missed some good chances but his work for team brilliant Personally I think Tuesdays game changed once Huddersfield keeper accidentally kicked ball at stanno which lifted crowd on a cold miserable night. Any one know why Ayuma not been seen more? I know you can only have so many in matchday squad and every week good players aren’t even going to make the bench but nevertheless thought we’d of seen him more, especially over Keshi Anderson KRO
For sheer destructive power, Cisse and Savage were some midfield pairing. On an individual level, think Paik and Iwata will do well to play better than Barry Ferguson.
I wouldn't even talk about Paik and Iwata (as class as I think they are) in the same breath as Barry Ferguson. Fergie head and shoulders the best cm I've ever seen at blues
I think Paik & Iwata with Barry Ferguson are the greatest midfielder players who have ever played for blues. I’m not sure why don’t see it that way. Give it time & I think they’ll prove that…
I agree with Alex B that Bowyer & Ferguson are our best midfield pairing of the last 25 years but like Brian I go back a while & although they were coming to the end of their careers, Howard Kendall & Terry Hibbitt were a bit special in the 1976 / 77 season
Given that Alfie is 31 & has been there, done that in this league, I think he’s the sort of fella who can see that Jay is a rising talent but maybe still a bit raw & will go out of his way to support him. Maybe a bit harsh but I think we know that Alfie came here for the money & probably knows it’s his level so as long as he gets minutes he will be a happy squad player.
It means that Paik and Iwata can leave at any time. right? Rather than being treated poorly by the club's fans, I sincerely hope Paik transfers to a higher-level club as soon as possible during the winter transfer window.
The way they are playing right now, Birmingham could conceivably be Invincibles this season. Mentally, its a difficult thing to achieve (to be up for evey single game over the entire season), but in terms of sheer quality I genuinely think they can go the full season this year without losing. Regading Iwata, youre unlikely to hear Celtic fans even mention him. I think most of the really savvy Celtic fans recognise that there is some quality there that they failed to use. But the problem created by Ange bringing in eight Asian players all at once ... and all of them being better than most of the "caucasian" players on the team ... set up a rather unfortunate dynamic. I dont like to dwell on it too much, but let's face it -- anti-Asian prejudices in the UK run very deep. With Furuhashi, Maeda and Hatate already baked in as regular starters at Celtic, there was a lot of resistance to giving guys who were signed at the tail end of Ange's tenure -- like Iwata (as well as Oh, Yang and Kobayashi) -- even a chance to show what they could do. But hey . . . it has worked out beautifully in Birmingham's favour so why complain?

Stansfield should have had a hat trick last night. He must have been disappointed when he left the field without scoring.Cochrane had another superb game. We are going to be very disappointed on Saturday when we draw with Charlton but the bubble has got to burst sometime.
We deserved the win, not many thought it would only be 1-0. As long as we continue to pick up points when starting slow we should be ok. Our midfield engine was not as strong last night as it was on Saturday. Huddersfield obviously done their homework. KRO
Would like to see May down the middle and Stansfield wide for the time being as we are only going to get a couple of years out of May but a possible decade out of Stansfield who is young enough to develop
Chris Davies won't be to keen on Laird when he sees him play because he cannot pass to save his life while the Davies type of football demands a good and fast passing game.
Ask you guys a question are you happy because you look a miserable bunch sometimes I have been a bluenose for 63 years just enjoy don't analyse too much, kro
Brian and Alex I laughed at you two yesterday when you both said that Chris Davies will stick with the same keeper. I knew you would be both wrong as Chris Davies is not as blind as you two are.
Alex D is spot on for me every time. Really knowledgeable and speaks complete sense and logic
Excellent as ever, loved it. Best round up pod cast by a mile! Congrats 🎉 from Brazil from
a crazy 🤪 fan since the 1970’’s KRO from Brazil 🇧🇷.
Can't help feeling that these slow starts are going to cost us sooner or later.
I believe we will inevitably drop points this season, however I agree that if we do through these slow starts will be annoying. Peterborough a perfect example, a shite goal that's only due to our error and then we are on the back foot straight away.
On Sampsted, he did look robust defensively when he came on and we were down to 10 men away at Charlton in the cup. Think he'll be ok.

Allsop should start from now on, he looked alot more confident back there, did you guys announce the winner of the dugarry posters yet?
I want Blues to get an FA cup away game against a Premier team so we can play our best team and then we can see how far we have come.
I went to Fulham mate and we ain't ready at all, granted that was before we are as solid as we was now and they let us have the ball so we looked descent but they was simply managing the game brilliantly.
Fantastic episode yet again. It’s so nice to see a happy brian after all these 😂
Does the Tom Brady fitness diet have any bearing on our teams fitness late into games?
Think it’s more CD’s training. Players have mentioned how tough training has been since he’s come in.

Iwata and Paik are League One Xavi and Iniesta

Cisse was not that good

Can't see anyone pinching Davies off us but I can see teams trying out his methods and style of play.

Mark ward and Peter shearer won the double at thus level let's compare them at the end of the season ( though paik and iwatha are brilliant ) KRO
Blimey after listening to the first ten minutes you'd think May was rubbish. How about being less negative. We are unbeaten.
How about Savage and cisse
We deserved the win, not many thought it would only be 1-0. As long as we continue to pick up points when starting slow we should be ok. Our midfield engine was not as strong last night as it was on Saturday. Huddersfield obviously done their homework. KRO
We are not whetting for the run to end I hope we don't lose till 2026 lol

I agree May needs to be the 9. Stanno prefers to play deeper.
We are destroying Alfie May in midfield. I doubt he would have come if he knew Stanstead was also signing.
Chris Davies won't be to keen on Laird when he sees him play because he cannot pass to save his life while the Davies type of football demands a good and fast passing game.
What you babbling about? He’s seen him play and he knows what he brings to the table. Stop hating and get behind all the players.
