Typhoon Mangkhut blows through Mariana Islands - 12pm CHST, Sept 10 2018

Typhoon Mangkhut is maintaining intensity as it enters the final 100 miles between itself and the island of Saipan. The storm is currently battering the Mariana islands with its broad heavy rain bands, with typhoon conditions likely imminently in Saipan, Tinian and Rota. Later, Mangkhut could strike the Philippines, Taiwan, or China at the end of this week.
