After many years of riding large, heavy, touring motorcycles I'm thinking of getting a GTS300 for doing similar trips. Must be to do with my age. The windscreen you fitted seemed to be doing its job considering the weather. I was wondering what happened to the speedo at 2:52 because you must have been going about 3 times the speed it was showing, especially as you overtook the lorry ?? Looking forward to more of your rides on the Vespa, so now subscribed.👍
I don’t know why but this hadn’t appeared when I answered the other comment 😵💫 Sorry. Yes it’s where I flipped the screen to appear to be driving on the right. It’s a spoof video that one just a bit of Christmas fun! My longest distance in a day was 370 miles. Very easy trip all on single carriageway roads and apart from 40 miles on B roads it was A road. It’s a very good package and great fun.
@@craigyllyn Yes, the penny finally dropped a few days ago, and the speedo should have given it away! But can you please clarify, did you really do 370 miles in one day on a Vespa 300GTS? If so, it must have been quite a long day, or maybe not? Happy New Year.
@ yes! I had to get the mileage up for its first service. It didn’t have the screen on then. I jumped on the A487 at Caernarfon and headed south. At 160 miles I turned around, headed back to Cardigan, filled up and just rode back… except I wanted to catch a photo at Devils Bridge. I thought it would be quick and easy. 40 miles later I was back in track. But very late and my wife wasn’t impressed! I was shocked it was as easy as it was. Due to health reasons I was expecting to need to give up after an hour or so. It was very easygoing being at max 60 limit though.
I mile munched my xmax250 from Gibraltar back to Uk cruising at 60-65. I changed the variator weights for a more relaxed cruise and it significantly improved fuel consumption when cruising at that speed. The acceleration difference was minimal. Nice ending and I suspected as much when noticed all roads were uk
Hi Graham, hope you enjoyed your trip to Iceland, i didn't know you can sail there from Holyhead must have been a long journey. i was funny when you got there the signage look very similar to Welsh but it looked reversed as a notice a sign off a dual carriageway posted 5A and a mileage sign that said 55A Rognab. One good thing you manage to get some shopping, funny that in Iceland they have Iceland stores there, fancy that. As always good honest video, catch you soon, remember your back in Wales now, you can ride on the left, Take care
😂😂😂😂 I can’t see us going back. It was interesting and we enjoyed it. But don’t feel the need to return. My dad spent 3 months there. Never wanted to return either.
I believe that the professionals say “ That’s the magic of television “. But I just think you’ve rumbled me😂😂😂 thanks for your dedication ! Merry Christmas 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
I can't recall the channel name but a young couple were travelling abroad, (a lot off road etc) on scooters. Once alone He even dismantled it to get it into bags and carried it onto a boat. 😂
@ please don’t think I’m trolling you in any way, I should say I’ve enjoyed many of your previous posts, but this was lacking in detail. I get your sense of humour, lovely that you ride a scooter, and love Wales. Looking forward to your next video mate.
Absolutely no problem. It’s the time of year when getting content out is tricky. Plus I was pre occupied with non YT stuff ( I think the post went out yesterday but not sure ) It’s just a filler really to keep YT algorithm happy. I always feel it’s right to admit if I think my own content is rubbish. And it is. The best bit was the lorry carrying the jet engine 😂 There’s a 4 minute sweary one on Wednesday. Just me getting on my high horse. You might not want that either!!!!

@ it’s just such an easy thing to ride. Comfy and you’re not fixed in any one position.

It was horrible. Not a nice day. When we did go there we saw one on the way from the airport to Rekjavik but didn’t catch a photo. 😮
@@craigyllyn May be next time Graham🤣🤣

@@craigyllyn Hi Graham, Been to two destinations in Iceland, Gwersyllt and Wrexham🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂 us adventurers proving just how easy these epic trips are eh!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Having had another look I noticed that between 6:14 and 7:46 the speedo was showing about 5 times the speed you were going! 🤔

@@craigyllyn It hasn't put me off buying one! And a Merry Christmas to you sir.
Merry Christmas to you too! It was a rotten day and yet the bike did admirably well. I wouldn’t have fancied being on a big tourer!

Cheers. I’ll have a delve over the Christmas break!!!
@@craigyllyn there are some good channels about and fun on 2 wheels is fun.
The title had me. lol. Funny
Sorry. Clickbait at its worst and not even a decent video. But hope you got a little giggle
Sorry mate, but what a boring video…. 😮
Fair enough. The ones for the Christmas break hopefully are genuinely of some interest.
