    These issues stem from the mindset that modern=western. I don't understand why Indian cultural attributes cannot be seen as modern.

      Problem is that these wannabe Western fools couldn't get western enough, and subsequently they started finding Sanskrit names cool, ultimately resulting in being a Muppet and embarrassment.

    In Bengal and Bengal Hindus have 3 names.
    One name for Kosti or Kundli and one for Society and one for home

    Shanaya was so 2020! Nowadays the elite class names their daughters Ariana, Aarna, Amaira!

    The ‘modern’ names are all in line with the American pronunciation. There’s a pronunciation pattern to ‘Shanaaya’, ‘Vivaan’ etc.,

      Sanskrit scholar told us Manushri is Sanskrit word .. मन्यते जानाति इति मनुः औणादिकः उप्रत्ययः means treasure of knowledge and wealth. manyate means knowing and Shri means god or wealth.

      It doesn't mean anything in any language that's the whole point. Phonetically it sounds more western.

      @@theindicexplorer ranbhir and alia recently named their daughter "raha" claiming it's a sanskrit name meaning clan. Seriously doubt it. Could u clarify this or ask Mr. Misra to do please so new parents are not led astray.

Yes I choose topics that interest me or sometimes just the guests who interest me (and the topic takes care of itself).       Just use simple names, look 3 generations back. Like we named a boy Krishna as his great great grandpa was Balkrishna.

      They both are not sanskrit names but you can use as per your liking because when you are not using sanskrit then no sanskrit rules or meaning apply.
