you know what is my favorite thing about this man? every video is the same voice volume from start to finish. i can loop the videos without suddenly getting jarred awake by an intro or a louder voice at the start like some have. its just the same perfect level of relaxing from start to finish

It's so easy to relax to because of the lack of hey here is a loud advert amongst the quiet at 12 am when you're trying to sleep. I praise this man for the lack of middle adverts.
Seriously, there's this asmrtist that puts this loud song as her intro and her videos have flashing lights in them.

I’ve been seeing optometrists/opticians/eye specialists since I was 4, so it became kind of a place of comfort whenever i’d go get my eyes tested and checked (my vision was 20/100 when my mom took me at 4 after she noticed my eye turned inwards). Thanks so much for making videos specific to this niche of asmr!

American here- I loved the map bit!! I really hadn’t understood just how close Calais, France truly is to the UK. I’m a huge Tudor history buff and know how important that port was to the times. Would love more map reading in exams. 🤓

I've been coming back to this one, very relaxing. The "clearer on the red or green", you had a full house of red. Me - the green was clearer, except binocularly, where neither were clear.

Don’t take the test literally is my advice.
Ask your actual optician when having a proper test. The red green test helps us refine your prescription.

I do lol but then I end up annoyed because I seem to have a perfect right eye and a left eye that can’t see much, not up close not far away it’s all extremely blurry. I had glasses before but umm they didn’t seem to make a difference lol.

Did you finish it eventually?
It’s a test used for refining the prescription of the eyes. It can just tell us where we are based on the answer you give.

I have a question, not ASMR related, but about eyes and color. do you think it is possible that we all see colors differently, but with the same names? like, I see "green" as red and you see "green" as yellow. My point is that the names of the colors is just a social construct and we were taught from the beginning of our childhood about what colors are called, despite every color being unique to every person? Do you understand? sorry it is a bit confusing to explain, please respond if you have time.

On the red and green test, I found the green clearer, what does that mean?

It can depend on your eye prescription.

the only thing they ever do in my eye exams are can you see this line and then is 1 or 2 better and then they puff some air into my eyes. Then they give me a list of like 50 things I can add to my glasses and ask if I want any of them.

The lines on the black and white grid test (black background) turned rainbow colors for me when I closed one eye! Trippy!
I did have some distortion of the lines as well. Lol.
