- I've got my hands on Mercedes’ comfy SLC cabriolet, so I'm taking it out for a test drive - and you can see it from my point of view! I cruise around some British back roads to test its ride quality, how easy it is to drive, and how it feels with the top down.

People complaining about the interior. This interior is the same as in the A class and GLA except from the screen which is better than having an ipad stuck to the console. Interior is getting updated in 2019 anyway. Stunning car just not worth £56,000.

This interior is absolutely 100% out of date. There is literally not a single reason to buy this car at this point; you'll depreciate 40% when you pick it up from the dealer.
Buy second hand, 22k for a 250D Amg Line, with 13k on the clock… New it cost 44k.. Remapped to 239 bhp 0-60 5.9 sec and it will hit 155mph with the roof down (official) and 160+ mph roof down.. 60 mpg easily and urban mid 40s… Solidly built, voice command, hd info system and what is wrong with the interior, it’s retro and fairly timeless..?
I’ve done 26k total no issues.. Fingers crossed 🤞 lol 😂..

excellent review of mercedes slc 300, but why did you whisper at the end (5:15): a mazda mx5 is slightly better to drive....??
Definitely better than 360 videos, but I prefer the traditional car reviewing camera style where you can see the reviewer do the talking/expression XD

Andrew Salinas In Australia we also drive with the steering wheel on the right but as I watch many US based car reviews it seems strange when seeing what is standard driving position here.

no it isnt, BMW I drive is way better. But dont just take my word for it, Matt (the reviewer ) thinks I drive is way better too...

Quality of this is much better than the 360 degree.
A couple years ago, I had a Merc E350 AMG Cab courtesy car with the 9 speed auto and I hated it to be honest. Never seemed to know what gear to be in for day to day driving and ratios were way to close to have fun with the manual shift.
Always had a soft spot for these. Think at one stage they were offered with V8s & v6s.

170 MPH and you could hear little noise from the outside and can hear the Matt talking in the cab with no troubles. I just love the RS6 cool & stealthy and just chuck the kids and dog in and just go.
Those roads are hella scary with dem bushes

Halaletarian Holy shit? Yeah whatever, these road are common in England and rest of Europe. And uncommon in America because their roads are unnecessarily wide.
You also need to keep in mind that USA is almost entire North America (except for Canada and Mexico) and contains 50 states.
And keep in mind the Europe is divided by countries, which are smaller than America's states

2 litre should be called the SLC 200. Both Mercedes and BMW have messed up their naming conventions with their smaller turbo engines, but refusing to change their model designations.
It happened because a 300 model that used to have a 3 litre V6 (makes sense) gets replaced by a 2 litre turbo 4cyl, but they keep the old bloody name mainly so idiots who just automatically buy the new version of their old car will get the equal power new model, not the equal engine size.

jghjghjghish Look at the old Mercedes-Benz 300SL. You even think the 300SL's interior looks outdated? You know that all cars will be outdated over time. Even older cars are horribly outdated too.
The styling is just bad, almost can't believe Mercedes hasn't figured out a modern roadster yet.

This has to be one of the very worst value propositions on the market today. More expensive than its newer rivals, dated interior, a chassis that flexes, having to be at a complete standstill to operate the roof...in neigh on 2018! Why you'd buy one of these over a TT or 718 Boxster is completely beyond me.

Zabi Gn I love it externally but it definitely needs updates internally, especially not having Satnav as standard is bs for the price, it should have the full lcd console and in-dash display as other merc models and other brands offer.
