Just got home from being at an FRC event for 14 hours. I was a scouting so I was starting at robots a ton, so why not come home and do it some more lmao.
Oh hey, I got some DRAMA from the Smoky Mountain Regional. It was held at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium, where the local Hockey Team, the Knoxville Ice Bears, played their games. Apparently, the field and pits was literally built over the playing ice with a thin sheet of wood (I think) separating the robots from the ice. It mostly held, but apparently by the playoffs, water had started seeping into the pit area as the ice had started to melt. Literally the carpet was destroyed and my former team had to cut it up to throw it out because the carpet was unusable. So, because of the Ice at the Civic Auditorium, and Thompson Bowling putting more emphasis on concerts, we may see the Smoky Mountain Regional someplace outside in Knoxville but in the KMA. Probably Pigeon Forge. Anyway, oh man, when that shooter mechanism got ran over, my heart literally exploded, that was horrifying!
At Ventura week 2 at the same venue as Port Hueneme we shot 3 of our notes in auto over the black wall/curtain. Good thing it was a practice match 2:22. Go 9084
For the week of the 1st. In the festival de robotique regional in Canada. The finals had a failed autonomous, a bot that broke and damaged the carpet. Then a 4th bot that came broken to game 2. And game 2's autonomous just broke so they played again and bearly moved @~@

We (5461) competed against Hawaiian kids at Canada Pasific Regional. They are an absolute beast.

You gotta watch the isr 4 2nd alliance, they had some banger defense that forced an overturn at the finals
Took 90 minutes for the SF final matches as well but they had to replay the overtime match.
