Up until recently, Kirstin has been the under-appreciated one of PTX; Until this year: She has stepped it up with her vocals and bringing out the immense talent that I felt she was blessed with. Now that she is willing to use it without fear, the group has more diversity! Their popularity as Pentatonix is still yet to reach its peak since the talent, versatility, intelligence, love of music, and creativity of these 5 individuals is INCREDIBLE!!

Talking about the background harmonies between Kirstin and Mitch, their voices just work so well together it's always fire. "The Trio" had sung together before PTX, and they know each other's voices so well that any pairing of them in background harmonies is amazing, whether it's Mitch/Kirstin, Mitch/Scott (think Superfruit!), or Scott/Kirstin.
Another reaction I enjoyed so much. Yes, this cover has so much texture from all 5 of them. Another song that got played to death is Cheerleader. PTX's cover is great on that one as well. (Just like everything they do!) Thanks again for your fun, entertaining reaction. Keep 'em coming!
You’re right, we were just waiting for KO to shock you. There’s something indescribable about this one which makes it truly amazing. Scott, Mitch and Kirstie were on fire. Matt and KO combined to great effect and powered it through. Brilliant!

Just had to watch this reaction again because it's so good. Travis, I totally agree with you about Kevin. He is an amazing human being (and a new father!) He graduated from Yale Freaking University pre-med and he's fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Go check out some of the videos out there of him speaking Chinese, it'll blow your mind (again). PTX taught themselves how to be grand masters of their craft and obviously it shows.

This is the first time - I think - that I've heard Kevin 'layered'. When he does the trumpet, his beatboxing is still underneath & no one has picked that up for him. Live it! But how will they do that live?
I love reading comments. Every single one of the group members gets massive amounts of (well deserved) praise, yet no matter how much we laud them, at one point or another we all feel like SOMEONE isn't getting enough kudos. Sometimes it's Kirstie, especially in the early days, sometimes it's Scott (my personal favorite for extra hugs). Since the change, it's frequently Matt who goes unrepresented. No one has ever said that Mitch goes unnoticed (Hah!) and same with Avi. Kevin is literally the driving force behind every song that needs percussion, and his contribution(s) are ALWAYS amazing. I particularly love the reactors that have to remind themselves that its a capella, and those AREN'T real drums. You are just so dang fun to watch reacting to these guys.

Or try Hellfire by Tomi P (from Hunchback of Notre dame). He’s one of the bass gang but he covers all parts in the arrangement from bass to tenor. 💛
You were saying that they probably only wear the outfits once or twice. If you look at the early videos, or maybe it's just me, but they do wear some of the same items in more than one video. But they are worth millions now, and productions are more costly. So, back in the beginning, couch videos, wardrobe was very cost effective.
We still see them wear some of the same pieces again over the years. Perfect example is the yellow suit that Scott wore in the 90s Dance Medley... He wore that at the Ugly Dolls premiere a couple of years ago - just with a different dress shirt. Oh, and Travis - good luck with getting the jacket he's wearing in this one. I believe it's a $5k jacket. :)
