OK, so, maybe the universities websites need updating, but I searched for the debates on the University of Birmingham website, and the Aston University website and I couldn't find the events that Subboor claimed he "booked", so maybe he's just lying about this too.

Well it's because suboor doesn't actually care about the arguments veracity. You have to understand winning a debate does not mean you're right. Actually a lot of winning debates is just about showmanship, audience reaction etc. you can't have those advantages online.

it is actually so cringe watching the clips of subboor talking like that. it's like he is literally still a 5th grader huffing and puffing in front of his little group of friends after getting humiliated by the school bully.. "my dad is going to beat up his dad!, he only got me because I wasn't looking!, i just let him push me in the locker because i wanted to see if i could fit in it or not!" ... it's a stark reminder how deeply pathologized a human mind can become, how truly terrifying self deception can be

The most annoying part about how they control the comment sections is that it's just not at all transparent. Nobody really seems to have any idea what things trigger which responses.
I get that they have to protect themselves from liabilities, and they want to have a certain level of behavior so that their product continues to grow in value. That's fine.
@@ottomaddoxx5360These madness has started from covid. I was shadow banned for long time for saying absolute basic things as replies. Social media doesn't have liabilities as of common print and digital media. But there are many law firm which is combating so called Islamophobia and in the process companies like youtube are censoring things they deem as such. So it's mostly result of activism and stupidity of decesion makers to give into the pressure. Now everything is getting censored.

Professor Dave (or "Dave" as Globebusters calls him) is absolutely right about the lack of need for multiple debates. They won't have anything valid to argue. It will immediately devolve into a loud and angry tirade of science denial.
He has far more patience than I do.

Not to mind read or anything but it feels like calling unserious interlocutors by unflattering names feels like his style for dealing with them. Maybe not the best way but look at how he riled up James Tour with the combination of facts and sort of true unflattering characterisations without using ad hominem as the reason to dismiss their arguments.
