Had the pleasure of getting to see him do a solo set during an 80s flashback show in the late 90s with a bunch of other 80s act. Amazing how well he can hold and entertain a crowd with just his voice and an acoustic guitar.
Dei here. I'll admit this one is a little left-field, but I've always loved Colin's acoustic work and just wanted to share. Great reaction as always. :)
Mate, with all your communication with Wolf Hunterz have you ever asked them why they don't respond to this comments section, doubt they even read them.
Colin is brilliant and funny. His solo version of “Overkill” is perfection. His funny guest appearance on Scrubs is a must watch. Watch his Choir Choir performance. The woman singing is his wife, Cecilia Noel (I believe that is her full name). She’s a singer as well.
Colin Hay, hauntingly beautiful voice. Spent many a night in dimly lit room, tea in 1 hand doobie in the other listening to some of the most wonderful music. His voice tells a story.
You never left the lofty peaks as far as your fans are concerned, Colin Hay. We love you . (We lived in the same suburb in Melbourne, Australia for a while when we were kids) Men At Work is still a much loved and treasured band.
Colin is one of my very favorite songwriters/vocalist/performer/storyteller of the 2000s and I loved everyone from Tom Jones to Joe Cocker and many more. Truly need to enjoy more of his songs like this when you can and thanks for your beautiful reaction videos.
Check out "Dear Father" by Colin Hay, beautiful song big tear jerker but beautiful lyrics and guitar playing. James Hetfield from Metalica listed it in his favourite songs.
He has come a long way from playing in the corner of the Cricketers Arms in Richmond late 70's, early 80's. One of the smallest pubs you are ever going to try and fit a band in.I loved Men at Work back then, sad they fell apart as they did. Not that I would know but they did not handle their fame well and the B.S regarding the Kookaburra song. He is still a great performer and it is great to see him still doing what he loves.
True story. Played this at my wedding . 2 years later got front row tickets to see him in Knoxville Tn. Someone behind me took a picture. He thought it was me. He stopped this song cussed me out and stared at me the rest of the show. After the show I waited in line to explain it wasn't me and he did it again. I broke his cd in my hands that I brought to have signed and walked out. Never meet your heroes
You may have got him on a bad day mate. It cant be easy having people fawning over you all the time, it would do my head in. Celebrity has a price I guess, he had a lot of dark years after Men At Work so it would have changed him I reckon.
One of the most beautiful sings ive ever heard .. its hopeful and heartbroken .... its waiting and proclaiming it openly
Love Colin! Fabulous Artist!
I met Colin in one of those 10 people shows in Tasmania. A most amazing experience with a divine talent.

Its a good song mate, a lot of Colins solo work gets overlooked these days. Maybe left field but still a good choice.
Seen colin hay live like 6 years ago.. such an incredible show. He deserves so much more recognition. He has tons of amazing songs

Thank you SO MUCH for reacting to this song. All-time faves. Good on you.
You guys lift my mood during this tough time.
I remember this song from an episode of Scrubs. That scene was a real tearjerker. They used other Colin Hay songs in that series.
Wait till you discover 'Overkill' by his band Men At Work...the lyrics are next level.
Colin is a master at his craft.
Dear Father is another Fabulous song ,You have to listen to .

Colin has the first use of the word “Labradoodle” in a song that I’d ever heard. On “Mr Grogan” from the Next Year People album. He is still quirky 😄
Check out Colin's acoustic version of Overkill
🤟🤙 Good mood , better than last Year , I think although here in Europe are not regular days . Like so much the laugh of the Mistress
Colin has found his groove again btw that’s his wife

How's the marriage working out?

@@mrmockatoo6786 marriage doing well.
@@iankearns774 I do realize that. Could have been several factors. Totally understand. Still love the music
@@stp434343 Well done. Catastrophe averted.
Great song but prefer it with the main man with his guitar and his voice telling the story till the end .
