Hello Robert . I am not sure whether you intended you post to come to my e-mail or not , so I hope I can answer your question . Hello Robert , I just spent some time replying to your post and then I pushed a wrong button and it went all away . Here I go again . Greetings from Ocean City , Maryland . Living here in this area , most yards / properties have some type of drainage issue . Being directly affected by the Atlantic Ocean , tidal back bays and tributaries , there is no shortage of standing ground water , especially after significant rainfall . Needless to say , the entire Del-Mar-Va region is subject to standing ground water . When you say " Wettest " , I can relate !!! In Charles County , ( if you ) live near the Potomac River , that may some how contribute to your drainage issue . My recommendation is that you get several estimates from a reliable landscape company in your area with a B.B.B. verification . I find the FDM channel to be a wealth of good information and if you decide to do the job yourself I am sure they would be happy to give you guidance along the way . I finished a job a few months ago and I only was able to post just 2 videos of the property before I did the work on my channel . I hope this was helpful . Thank you, B&A .

I live in Melbourne, Florida, on a property where 3 sides of neighbors around us are higher elevation. When it rains, we get all the water runoff from surrounding neighbors. We have no drainage ditch to get rid of rain water flooding and when big storms come, we have massive flooding throughout the 3 acre property. We have approached the city and so far no one will help with lack of drainage for me and other neighbors. How do we tackle this? Do you have videos on something like this? Do you offer consultations? We need help bigtime. thanks, we are big fans of your videos.
Another great video. The trench looks to fit 2 of the 4 inch pipe width wise on the very bottom. Is the the trench about 8 inches wide or is fabric hiding the extra width of the trench? Also how many inches deep do you like the stone? Lastly how thick is the sod cut off? Thanks for helping.
@@FRENCHDRAINMAN so if my trench is 385'÷30 = 12.83 cubic yards = how many tons? Think I found it www.thecalculatorsite.com/conversions/common/cubic-yards-tons.php says 18.19 tons for 385' trench at 12.83 yards 3/4 to 2" to stone. Does that sound right?

How do you address auto/truck/tractor traffic over a drain like this, with gravel only over the top? Obviously this is not designed for such a job, but I have to drain along the edge of a gravel farm road and would like to put a ‘T’ into the barn gravel parking area to drain it better. Everything else would sheet off the gravel down to my long drain which will daylight into a ditch about 200ft away. But simply topping my trench even with a few corrugated/fenestrated pipe, I’m afraid the trench will simply crush. Is this the place you would use double wall fenestrated? Also, when ordering gravel, what is the small round ‘river rock’ called? I’m used to ordering crushed for surface locking.

You made the comment that the more water you can push through the blue lines the less debris will accumulate which makes since but then you decided not to run the gutter drain through the blue lines but instead a separate gold line, wouldn't running the gutter run off with proper gutter guards in place make for more water flow through the blue lines establishing less debris over time? In fact you later mention that in doing so would be a "no-no" but didn't explain why. Would be interested in your reasoning why not since it would seem that pushing more water flow through the blue lines would decrease the amount of debris like you also mentioned.
FRENCH DRAIN MAN oh ok, I just don’t understand what Octane or High Octane has to do with drain pipes? Is it just a gimmick word to make it sound better than other types of pipe? I see that you leave your equipment running, even if you are not currently using it. The new thing for cars, now a days, at Red lights, is to have the engine shut down to save gas. Then, the car starts back up and takes off. What people do not realize is that they they are saving gas money, while burning out their starter motors and burning out Thier engines. The hardest time for an engine is start up. And that goes probably double if you have a super or turbo charger...
