My father worked on huge cargo ships in the engine bay and he’s almost 70 and can still hear perfectly up until the age 33 mark.

I’m 27 and I stopped at 30 because the audio just completely dropped off. I’ve been to several concerts and music festivals and used to listen to music on my earbuds so loud it would make your ears ring. Still wear hearing protection though because I have tinnitus and that SUCKS.

I'm 28 and stopped at 80 something. Rarely go to concerts. Went to an ear doctor at 17 years old and learned I had the hearing of a 40 year old back then. I don't think I have the hearing of an 80 year old now, though...I can talk and listen to music like everyone else :/
I think the right way to measure this thing up, would be at normal level of sound. It's like you're not going to listen to a TV program at maximum sound level right? So, the test should be carried out the same way, at normal pr moderate sound level, not too high, not too low, just the normal sound level when you are hearing things out.
if you are young and cant hear because it blend in just go to a age like 4 or 5 and press the left arrow and hope it lands on ur age and you will hear it then

That’s so odd if I place it far away from my ear I can hear it all the way to my actual age, but if I place it right next to it as I would on a phone call I can hear right to the end.

With headphones on, I stopped hearing it at around 15000 Hz (which is close to my age, 33) but then I started hearing it again from 17500 Hz to 20000 Hz and then it cut off again.

I suppose this test isn't very accurate since I can technically "make my ears younger" by increasing the volume. With my default volume I can hear it up to 18,3 khz and with substantially increased volume even up to 19,2 khz being 32 yo. I'm using studio quality audio equipment but that shouldn't make a difference. My guess is that if you conduct a professional hearing test it would have a standardized volume level.
I listened from my smart phone, no head phones, opened window and fan 2m away on, and heard a clear sound until 4. Surprised. I'm 38. My friend is 42, he tried in different conditions and volume, stopped until 39. I have trained ears though as a musician and you used Studio stuff..
Stopped at about 29/30, I’m 38. I do mix music and also tend to hear and notice a lot of things other people wouldn’t notice. Every now and then, if there is an old tube tv in a room and the screen is black, but not playing anything, I can hear it’s on before even seeing the lit, black screen. I assume the parts inside that project the image to the glass screen tend to “squeal” at a frequency somewhere in the 16k range.
SOME of the bands I've seen/heard at least 5 times: Pink Floyd, The Who, Rush, Van Halen, AC/DC, The Boss, Led Zeppelin, Guns & Roses, Metallica..................and the list goes on and on. Test says my ears are 65, I'm 62. I guess that's why I need the Sony STR-DN1080 1135 watt Surround Sound Home Theater just so I can hear the news lol.
So I had the video sped up by accident (1.5) and heard it up to 22 but in normal speed it stopped at 30. I just turned 30 so I guess it seems accurate but at the same time whenever I hear higher frequences I become nauseated and anxious, I got pain just repeating the 20's sped up. What does this imply?
You should try it again. And see if there is a rate of deterioration. I used to hear up to 17k herts in my late 10's. Now in my mid 30's its only down to 16k

What are you supposed to set your volume to? On my iPhone 14 I set it midway but if I turn it right up I can hear for longer?
