I simply love your stories so I decided to ring the bell. I recognized that I understand about 95% of the stories. I hope to improve my listening skills. Thank you very much. Mick from Hamburg in Germany
I just discovered your channel. It's very hard to make the transition from learning grammar, simple translation, conjugations, etc. to actually hearing and understanding someone speak the language. Your slow, clear Spanish has really helped!
Thank you! You inspire me because you are also a non native Spanish teacher. I am trying out my first year to teach Spanish, and you are like a role model for me to see that it can be done! and you do everything on your channel so elegantly!!
Muchísimas gracias. He tenido suerte para vivir en el suroeste de México por 24 años. Pero, todavía necesito ayuda con la pronunciación. Para muchos de mis amigos Español es su lengua segunda. Disfruto mucho tus historias.
Great effort! Just a quick thing: when the "r" goes in the middle of the word and it is only one "r", it isn't pronounced strongly as in "rr" when the word starts with an "r", unless there is a doble r, the "r" should be soft. Example: strongly pronounced (rolling r): "Rosa, arroz". Soflty pronounced: "cariño, herida".( not rolling r). Greetings from Perú.
This is my first time listening to you, and I am adamantly trying to learn Spanish this year. I’ve been promising myself for years to do it, because I was supposed to go and participate in an immersion program, but a good friend of mine passed away and I had to forfeit the money I had spent and I never attended. I’ve been taking little classes here and there that are all UA-cam and this morning. I woke up and just ended up on your page. I love the pace that you use and believe it or not, while I did not understand at all, I was able to follow you. If there is any tips you have for me or anything that you can suggest that is financially friendly and I really can learn, please let me know. I am applying myself every day to this journey.
My biggest suggestion is to read. We acquire vocabulary 10x faster through reading. And if you can listen and read at the same time, even better. I have over 100 stories on my website that are completely free. The link is in the show notes.
I love this idea. Your accent is a bit hard to follow as a Spanish speaker myself but it’s not bad. I think it’s because we don’t always say the r’s so forceful but I understand it’s probably for people to know the whole word?? Maybe have it written as you are reading so people can read along?
As an American it is also hard for me to understand native Spanish speakers when they speak English. But it doesn't get in the way of me communicating with them!
It would have been nice to add subtitles. So that we hear the words and see the spellings to. I tried to use the auto generate captions but many words are wrong
Great for listening practice! But I was wondering what the accent was? Is it some accent from another hispanic country or was she just enunciation each word for people to understand it easier?
I watch a lot of Spanish stuff with stories for beginners and this is by far the best I’ve seen so far.
Gracias
Wonderful! That's exactly what I need. Thanks.

She isn't a native speaker. I live in a city that's 33% Mexican and they don't speak with perfect accents either.
I love how you roll the "r", sounds very cute.
Take care 😎👍
