Met Jeff a few times back int he 90's when he used to wear a sharp pinstripe suit on stage. Very funny and a very friendly man who would always have time for a chat.

I've had that happen to me.. I had my hair cut pretty short, and an old fella in the supermarket must have thought I looked like a kindred spirit. He started surrepticiously complaining to me about asians taking jobs etc. I just sort of mumbled non-commitally until he was done, and as I left I saw him giving the silent treatment to the lovely asian girl who was packing his groceries. She might be the most polite and friendly person I've met in the whole town. Hard to imagine how you can treat people poorly just because they look a little different.
My late _wife_ used to _snarl_ at foreign (or, 'foreign') people in the street! So, of course, l'd be like, "I'm sorry! Please - ignore her!" which, of course, would be the start of a row between _us_ - well, it's not usually the 'done thing' to loadly contradict your partner in public, is it?! It was nearly the cause of us breaking up; one might wonder what I was even doing with her in the first place... For one thing, if you could put the bigotry to one side, she was, if you can believe it, the kindest, sweetest, most compassionate person you could meet, believe it or not, not to mention loving, affectionate, _steadfastly_ loyal, and, of course, beautiful. More to the point though, when we met, and for most of our marriage, _she_ was more 'Kumbiyah' than _me!_ The only way I can make sense of it is that, like me, she had become disillusioned with the increasingly daft dogma and sordid tactics of the Left, but somehow felt that she had to go the _whole_ 180°; she didn't just throw the baby out with the bathwater, but the cat, the dog and the budgie for good measure!
He doesn't really hate foreigners, he just doesn't like that his country is changing culturally and ethnically. If you want to understand people like that you have to, even if you disagree, at least try to understand where they are coming from. I agree there's no need to be rude to anyone

I feel bad for this guy. One of the most romantic things that I have ever done in my life was to chase my girlfriend down the street in South London yelling "C'MERE, I JUST WANT TO TALK TO YOU!!!!"

Honestly this is pinnacle race-based comedy done well. The final punch line is just so fucking funny.
