I've been binging on news and information for the last 12 hours. Why I waited so long to see what Palantir has been up to the past 3 weeks, I have no idea. I have a love / hate relationship with how people respond to Palantir based upon what I hear Dr. Karp say. Yes, he sounds like a genius from a movie, except if he said they can pull it off...
THEY ACTUALLY CAN!!!
Around the 22:15mark, Karp says something to the effect that the technology’s comes mainly from the US and that this fact makes it hard for SOME PEOPLE TO ACCEPT. Is he talking about the NHS?
The fact is if you use pltr you are closing the door on your domestic ai companies. If the future is ai going outside your own country is going to be very damaging to your domestic ai capabilities and future gdp.

ai is not something you can just dev that easily though, if your local devs don't have it, waiting is just going to put you further behind. If ai is as exponential as ppl think it will be, that can be a problem
I think Karp bombed the presentation. Went off topic too much, a little bit chaotic. Looks kind of not put together, rambles. But the growth, the numbers, and the potential deals speak for themselves. Missed opportunity though imo

@@Thinkcorp most of ultra genius visionaries Musk Gates etc are in a World of their own _ actually human language of itself is Abstract _ everything can be interpreted in different ways _ reason why human communication is with complications _ important thing is not how Karp dress or lack of hairdo _ impressive is the company he keeps _ good stuff was in this video
@@kennethsomers3893 yes there was good stuff, and even though I agree Karp is in a league of his own and autistic to a good degree - He sometimes comes off as all hype, or even a bit salesly. It would be nice if he could elevate other executives or people in operations to do some of the talking. Similar to Elon with Tesla, he has other folks on quarterly calls and presentations that give a good balance to his personality
I’ve seen this exact sales preso from him multiple times going back to CNBC, Geneva, aspen, etc
Expecting Karp to nail a presentation is like expecting Elon to not be charismatic.

I think he needs to drop the ugly duckling stuff, it could be perceived as a lack of confidence. Alex Karp seems to miss some of the basics that he should know, such as having a monetization strategy or the importance of a professional sales team or a good suit. He needs to drop the college look, get a haircut and some clothes. I am not a fashion advisor and this is not fashion advice just saying.
I agree, he should start looking at how Apple presents.

Palmer Lucky woulda crushed this presentation…. I wonder if Karp is on ketamine? Right now, I’d say no, and I really hope not… altho, that outfit is a check in the “yep” column for that question… for now, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt but reserve the right to flip my opinion, should evidence or some compelling detail emerge in the future.
