That sure is a nice trap. But frankly, it doesn't matter what I think... a bit over-finished and over-engineered. Not to mention all of the pro-grade tools. The question: will the bees go for it? No mention of where to hang it, etc. I make my traps a bit differently but this video has value... learned of few things and considering some upgrades to my own design. Three stars (out of five).
If you would like to getting rid of them from all over your property ... take a brown paper bag and puff it out and fill with another bag. In the mind of the carpenter bee it has the appearance of a Hornets nest! The carpenter bees will evacuate the area! I have one bag under my porch and it has gotten rid of all the bees from my property. I was covered up with them around my bedroom deck and they are gone as well as all others.
