I got to take a trip to Uganda in 2018. I love Uganda!!! It is a beautiful country and has beautiful people too. I traveled to Gulu and I loved every moment. Weebale for the lesson in Lugandan. I am planning on going back in a few years. 😄
Thank you so much. I was just dying to learn this language as I was born in Uganda and my mum used to speak fluently and I just learnt a few words with her and now I have the opportunity to learn much more before I revisit Uganda. Your teaching is perfect!

Nawe, Sula Bulungi I can't forget. Not very distant from my SA Xhosa's Nawe, Sala Kakuhle. Bulungi issimilar to our Bulunga (wellness/goodness) Bulunga/Bulungisa/Kulunga is the same. So we tend to say sala kakuhle (kahle in Zulu) The word nawe is exactly the same. Ain't sure about the word sula but our sala means remain/stay as in remain/stay well :-)

Whenever I use the little Luganda I know it makes people, especially children, excited happy. Adults always ask me the first time I speak it to them usually webale or kale is the first word I use, but also Ssebo and nyabo as proper, how do you know our language. My answer is I don't know but some sayings and some words but I have had Ugandan friends for over a year and a half so I learned some Luganda. Also it is in Google Translate. I wish Lusoga was
That’s the thing about languages. When you know a little bit, people feel warm and accepted around you. It feels like you are one of them.

I was born in Uganda and spoke bari and luganda fluently, but when I moved to Australia at age 4 I forgot Luganda, I can still sing in it tho. By gods grace I’ll relearn.
