I usually don't comment on your transit videos because I don't want to embarrass myself, but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this one in particular. I know I have said this before but it's worth repeating..no one and I mean no one comes close to the level of excellence you have achieved on your channel. I always appreciate how intelligent, articulate, knowledgeable, and likable you always are. Second to none, my friend.
Y'know, ppl r complaining about the T1s being at the end of their life, but they are perfectly fine and are very reliable, and they haven't even been rebuilt....
I was going to make a video on why the media is sounding like they’re in bad shape but clearly they have another ten years of life and the fact that TTC wants to purchase new trains (which I support but maybe secure funding in advance). It’s likely the T1s are here to stay for many more years especially that TTC will need to install the same signalling system Line 1 has so the new trains will be compatible.
@@AlexGetsAroundTO the media is just littered with whiners and complainers. At the end of the day, they still get you from point A to point B. It's not like they are breaking down every day... Like people were never complaining about the H4s, H5s and H6s being at the end of their life, so why are they complaining about the T1s??? They were just as old when they retired. Look at the MTA for example. The R32s ran for over 4 decades and had no problems at all....
I like the Subway ride, but what I feel like TTC should have done at most stations is to NOT have the fare gates placed and separated the bus transfers, I feel like everytime if I had to transfer from Subway to Bus, I mean paying an extra $3.30 wouldn’t make sense after the transfer time expires… Although, the one time I ride on 935 Jane Bus, there was construction at Jane/Dundas so it felt like was a long commute to Pioneer Village Station, might wait till the Construction is done, by definitely like this!!!
@@AlexGetsAroundTO I feel bad for not fanning the OG Hybrids, but the only station I can think of to catch a lot of them is Jane, but I avoid that area
Well Alex If your planning on transit fanning on Friday I advise you shouldn't because the ttc is going on strike and it might affect bus routes , trains , streetcars . Anyways nice Train ride .
Ever since you posted this, I can't stop watching it. This video is excellent
Wow thanks so much bro!
@@AlexGetsAroundTO no problem

Why would that be considered " embarrassing yourself"?
@@TheOGDieselFanaticNormally I don't like commenting on the transit videos because I am not up on all the "transit lingo".
@@1961RetroMIke I see
I enjoyed this video
Thanks
If the TTC goes on strike on Friday, what are you planning on doing?
I have a video on that coming tomorrow but I’ll have to make videos in my neighbourhood for how long it lasts

You're probably already aware, but in case you're not, there are only 35 OG Hybrids left
I know, they’re probably gonna be gone in a matter of two months
@@AlexGetsAroundTO then that would be the end of the OG era in Toronto after 2 decades
I feel like you should do more videos like this where you do narration. It makes the video interesting
I think I will!
@@AlexGetsAroundTO yay!
I'm reluctant to go to Jane because of personal reasons. I would have filmed an OG Hybrid compilation if that wasn't the case.
You can catch the og hybirds on other mount dennis routes like 32 41 161 168 171 14 28 71 79
True but there aren't much on those routes compared to the 35 and 935@@EthanKizito-dj7ff

Jane Street is expected to recieve priority bus lanes in the near future, so obviously it’ll be a little faster than what it is right now
Nice one Alex!
Crazy I’m gonna try and catch one on the 937 today or tomorrow
