I genuinely feel that Holmes and Co. drafted 4 All-Pro guys last year, and 7 in his 1st three years. I've never seen a Lions team draft as well as this regime. What makes it even better is that he's doing it via different ways. In some cases, the guys they wanted, fell to them like Sewell and Hutch, in other cases, he's finding diamonds in the rough that far out play their draft position, like St. Brown and LaPorta, and in other cases, he's taking the guys they want when it's their pick, like Gibbs and Campbell, regardless of what the "Experts" and mock drafts say. Also, he's hit on so many other picks as well that are high level starters and continue improving every year like Melifonwu, McNeil, Barnes and Houston, not to mention how Hooker will play in a couple years. This front office is one of the best, if not the best, in the league.
He's going to be a star in this league for years to come. He tackles harder than any linebacker that I've seen this year. His tackle style reminds me a lot like Ray Lewis. Violent.💪🦁🏆
Campbell doesn’t have a huge highlight reel, but most of his influence comes from being a leader on the field and leading/direction pre-snap communication between defenders.
I think they took Jack Campbell at #18 because they see him being an elite "defensive QB" for the next decade. I expect him to take a huge step in year two.
I'm surprised they didn't have the play where he literally picked a man up and threw him down. Can't remember the specific game but that was a memorable one. This dude FINISHES!!
I seem to remember Jack Campbell making a lot more plays than what they showed here. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing him and the team next year!
Love the DNA of Captn Jack. Compare Jack Campbell who was picked at #18 overall by the Lions, to Jared Davis who the Caldwell Regime took at #23 overall in 2017. Davis could not tackle, he was also dumb as a door nail, and he could not lead the defense. A typical bonehead pick by a group of coaches who had no clue how to identify an NFL caliber player from a college player with limited ceiling. Jack Campbell will no doubt take a big leap forward in the 2024/25 season with the new additions to the lIons secondary, and with the rookie year experience behind him. He and Hutch are a demolition crew when they get into the backfield. I predict hehas at least 6 sacks this season, more than a dozen TFL.
The only reason they made it to the NFC championship was their culture. Campbell embodies that culture to his core and that’s why they took him. Maybe shouldn’t have been first but for a guy like him I believe they took him 1st round to show they believe in him and to boost his confidence and motivation to work his ass off and play to that standard. Might not be great next year either but he’ll be better and will be on this team for a long time.
Why were there no top plays from the second half of the NFC championship game? Oh, that’s right all their best players sat on the damn bench., great playcalling how’d that work out for you. I’m still so pissed about that. They were supposed to win that game.
@@zacgrasl4229a lot ppl did with Jomo … I wonder why 👀he didn’t get the benefit of doubt like Campbell did in his rookie year especially coming of a major injury.. Didn’t hear no negative news abt Campbell being drafted that high by the local media based on his performance 🤔..
Dissapointing. Unabated sack. PFF 28.7 grade vs the Rams and 53 vs the Bucks less than 45 in the playoffs awful. Usually 3rd man in the pile. Rodrigo is actually better with 4.52 40 speed and a sure tackler former wrestler. Rather have had Kancey.
Hutch grabbing his head after the slap 😂😂😂
say what you want this guy has so much potential to be a top lb in the league
He’s gonna be a monster
💯💪🦁🏆
Agreed, hard position to impact immediately in the NFL. In Brad we trust.
He can tackle pretty well, but I just haven’t seen anything else from him. This is two minutes of group tackles he’s a part of.

Yeah where was that one??
Such great vision and coverage for a rookie LB against the best QB. That play needs to be in here!

That’s a bit much
He also misses a lot of tackles too.
I've actually seen him get run over quite a few times too.
A humble beast gaining more and more confidence.
Loved him coming out of Iowa!
Expecting a big year 2 from him
Makes plays coming downhill but needs to work on his zone drops
@@boringborisbreakdownsCorrect! Needs vast improvement.
Talk about an underrated team player ❤ Dude cleans up on a ton of team tackles🎉

It's his time to shine Sunday! He better step up
Need a Brian Branch highlight reel
A beast.
This looks like it was slapped together last minute.
he will be an all pro by year three
He had more than this

Jacks breakout year is up coming. B ready Lions Fans. Dudes about to bring the house.
Where’s his drop back diving pass breakup against Kansas City!?
From Algonac to New Orleans…Happy Mardi Gras 🎊 🍻
They didn’t show Campbell’s tackling CMC…
0:28 that was actually Brian Branch that made that play

He hits like a truck.
2nd year let him run the Green Dot, let Alex Crash the line and with a new edge guy and a few pieces in the secondary, that’s a top 5 defense
W pick

Dudes get up a little slower than normal when he brings them down. That’s gonna pay off in the North.

It takes awhile to figure it out. I hope less and more time. Anziloni wasnt good till this year. Its his 5-6th yr er something
I did this with my grandma
He played out of position most of the season. They need to just let him play his natural position at MLB.
