- I'm so excited to finally release this song! The chorus of this came straight out of my heart one day as I was pretty upset and emotional about a situation that I was in. My prayer was God, I don’t want it if You’re not in it. It doesn’t matter if it looks “good” on the outside. It doesn’t matter if it means “wait”. Ultimately, God holds the very best for us and His ways are so much better than our own. It may not always make sense in the moment, but as long as you are walking in the footsteps of Jesus, you are walking into destiny. I hope you let these lyrics and melodies sink into your soul. I discovered this song on accident, and God has really been using it to minister to me. A few months ago, I prayed that I would be like Jesus and do what Jesus did, and I've been studying Jesus' life, teaching, and ministry in the Bible. About Himself, Jesus says, "I only do what I see my Father doing." Knowing the Father is absolutely key. God has really been taking me through a season of greater and deeper surrender, where I've really been seeking Him more. I've really earnestly sung/prayed this song to God, and He has challenged me in all the ways I do other things and give myself to other things but Him. He says to me, "You said you don't want it if I'm not in it. I'm not in that. If you want me, I'm over here..." It's easy to say it, but it's much harder to really walk it out. Am I really going to follow Him in everything I do? Am I willing to give up everything in my life that distracts from Him? The more I pursue Him and know Him, the more I want to. But I constantly need His help to remind me and strengthen me to go after Him. I've come back to this song again and again.
And we ALL consistently need His help!

Thank you so much for this song, this is actually what I needed to hear in this moment. Right now I’m going to be starting school as a freshman, this is going to be my second year in the public school. Before this year I was homeschooled up until my 8th Grade year, which was last year, that year didn’t go very well I was bullied by quite a few guys and called ugly and nasty names. So going in as a freshman is making me very anxious, but this song makes me stop and remember that God is always there for me. That even in the times that they were calling me names he was there comforting me. So I want to thank for this amazing reminder that we need to trust God, and that He is always there for us.
